Say what you will but Nintendo seems to exclusives on lock down this year, shame the WiiU isn't shifting much

It's the result of the Hype generation.

Everybody just talks about what is great....until it isn't and then they move on.

Mean while things that are good or great, don't get talked about as much.

It's not just in Video Games either....It's happening everywhere.

This game is no doubt a system seller and a guaranteed buy for any and every Wii U owner. Unfortunately, the Wii U is no longer of interest to me so I'll have to pass on this.

You'll be missing out on a real great game.

Romudeth3785d ago

People really like this series. I don't get it but if they enjoy it I guess that's all that matters.

That's part of life. We have choice and that's because we are all different. I got this game for Xmas and I am very impressed with it. For me the Wii version seemed to lose the fun that the gamecube and n64 version had. (I don't know if it was the controller at the time or what) but I think this is a Nintendo classic on the wiiu.

For me Nintendo have seemed to of found them self's again as I have enjoyed Pikmin 3, MarioU, Mario 3d world, Mario Kart 8, sonic Lost worlds, Windwaker HD and DKTF.

I do hope the wiiu sales pick up but I do think the console market has now gone like the phone market where people only go for yoy games like FIFA, cod, ac ect.

This is definitely my favorite Super Smash to date. There is so much content! My only real gripe is that there aren't many toys to play with in the level editor.

AshleeEmerson3785d ago

Just bought this yesterday and love it, Pit is my favorite by far but as far as games like this go, Playstation All Star wins this battle and that coming for a person who's spent countless hours with the first smash brothers. I was hoping for something smoother considering the competition.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory3785d ago

Word of advice.
Never mention PS Allstars on anything Smash related.

Smash Fans despise that game. I have both btw. And All-Stars is nowhere near Smash. Maybe 64 version but yeah I guess it your opinion so it cool.

AshleeEmerson3784d ago

Umm ok, we'll just call what I said an opinion, thanks for agreeing. If you and the rest of the world find it better then congrats. I mean I bought them both so, I support everything gaming and as far as the disagrees, I have no idea why they even matter on here; an opposing perspective? :).

To me smash brows Melee is my all time favorite. I can't tell you how many hours I played that game between friends and family. When I was a kid, my parents couldn't afford a gaming console so I had to go somewhere that had an arcade like setup with the only difference being instead of arcade cabinets, they had big screen crt TV's and gaming consoles setup. I would go with my friends on special occasions after school or with my family on the weekends.

I would meet and make new friends at that place as we were all gamers and we also brought our game boys and would trade pokemon. I don't think those places exist these days but back then, it was easy to meet like-minded people and have fun for hours.

Well, I’ll add my extremely subjective ranking too. I won’t include the 3DS version as I don’t owned it. I did play it for a few minutes though.

5. Brawl.
4. N64 Smash
3. Ultimate
2. Wiiu Smash
1. Melee

Yup Ultimate for me BY FAR is my favorite.

Ten Overdue Fighters for Smash Bros.

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "While the future of Smash Bros. has been uncertain for a while - whether Nintendo will build on Ultimate or bring us a new entry entirely - within all likelihood a new Nintendo system still means something new for Smash Bros. is on the horizon, and that something will almost certainly include new fighters, however many or few. While this might be the gaming article equivalent of putting up Christmas decorations in October, it’s never too early to start speculations when it comes to Smash Bros. before two thirds of everything inevitably gets leaked ahead of time. Keep in mind that this is not a list of predictions for future newcomers, though a few could perhaps fit in that same category, but rather a small list of the characters that in this writer’s humble opinion are overdue an appearance in the gaming crossover to end all crossovers."

I feel bad for Smash fans. Those guys have been trying to maintain the scene active for 20+ years and get nothing but hate from Nintendo.

RoseSapphire720d ago

Sakurai explains how he and Nintendo still don't understand how the internet works.

Snookies12720d ago

Exactly, online play would be wonderful on Smash if Nintendo gave a crap about their online services. To be fair though, Nintendo's online offerings would be great if it were 15-20 years ago lol.

jambola720d ago

I've always said that Nintendo is either innovative and ahead of the curve
or 20 years behind, no in between

CrimsonWing69720d ago

I’m sorry, but if a game is MP then there’s no f*cking argument that can justify no online MP. What he says about competition being different from just playing with friends shows me how out of touch these people are.

It’s not until a new generation that understands things steps in to clean-house that we’ll see some evolution here.

Vanfernal720d ago

His argument is nonsensical. "You'd be limited to just playing people from your region". As opposed to being limited to playing people FROM YOUR COUCH!

CrimsonWing69720d ago

What I don’t get is how do you not have competition and experience the same issue if you have a friend that’s way better than you?

GoodGuy09720d ago

It's a big fighting game so online multiplayer is a must. Competitive smash is the only thing I see fun in these games anymore asides from the big character reveals, singleplayer is laughable and you ain't gunna have people over for couch gaming much.

If Nintendo makes a new smash, it needs a huge evolution for singleplayer/couch play to be enjoyable for me any more. But we all know they'll just do a deluxe edition for their next console lol. They really need to up their servers as well.

NotoriousWhiz720d ago (Edited 720d ago )

I can't imagine Nintendo producing a better smash game than ultimate. Roll it forward with a deluxe edition maybe with an extra character or two and call it a day.

Some other developers can try pushing platform fighters to the next level, because I don't think Nintendo is up to the task.

DarthZoolu719d ago

They already created a better smash brothers game than ultimate when they created melee

masterfox720d ago

he sounds more like is trying to justify Nintendo ineptitude to create a proper network infrastructure in order to Smash Brothers work properly online.
