The X1 domination continues in the US, even the big multiplatform games are selling more on x1.

Looks like price makes a big difference insoles, PS4 had a 7 month price advantage and now X1 is having 2 months.

Congrats as well for surpassing 10m WW before the end of the year, very impressive for 42 Countries. Looks like MS was right all along about the 10m.

Edit @ Jaqen, might want to check your history, US was, and still is Sony's strongest territory. Sony sold boatloads of PS1 before MS even made consoles, then they sold 3x as many PS2 as OX. Sony has sold more than 2x as many consoles in the US as MS. Wake up, the US is Sony's to loose, and that's exactly what happened last gen despite all the above advantages.

@ Cervants, those 2 months or so have similar sales to the remaining 9 or 10 months, always have.

DarkAstronaut2959d ago (Edited 2959d ago )

I'm not sure it's what I'd call domination. The Xbox One is doing well, it should be at the price and overall packages it offers like games and giftcards.

I would even argue it should be doing better than it is at that price and package.

Let's just pretend these numbers are real. When they were both $399 in Oct the PS4 outsold the Xbox One almost 2:1 according to NPD. The Xbox One selling 50,000 more units in December all things considered, isn't that impressive.

stuna12959d ago

I agree! The Xbox1 should be doing better considering all the incentives offered. But already looking at it comparison wise, sales are already starting to level out! The PS4 although having several bundles offered didn't have nearly as many incentives, but yet it's still selling in a comparative close sales margin to the Xbox1.

Personally Microsoft has definitely had to work to get where they are sales wise, while Sony are putting forth minimal effort, and the second Microsoft eases up on there efforts it will immediately start to show in their overall sales figures. Being that the Holiday sales rush is coming to a close, that will be a true testament to if the Xbox1 has true staying power or, if this was all attributed to Microsoft offering all the incentives they have.

Either way, this is a good thing! Competition breeds excellence in what offerered and IMO that is the true incentive.

strangeaeon2959d ago

Actually no, it should not be $50 cheaper than the PS4. I realize in your Sony addled mind the PS4 is some high end super computer compared to the X1, but in reality they are much closer than you want to admit.

Loadedklip2959d ago (Edited 2959d ago )

Wow u really can't break free enough from your fanboy logic to just give credit where credit is due.

PS4 had a ton of deals as well that were just as good. Target cartwheel had the PS4 for 340 with a free game and a 20 dollar PSN store card.

Best Buy had PS4 for 350 with a game.

Walmart had PS4 for 329.

Don't kid yourself into thinking PS4 weren't heavily discounted well.

XB1 just did the right marketing and moves to become revelant again especially in the USA DESPITE Sony doing multiple bundles and price drops themselves to try to keep XB1 down.

Give credit where credit is due and sstop being a fanboy.

DarkZane2959d ago

The momentum they got with that price drop is almost completely done. It's only winning by 50k in the US (but still getting beated by a landslide worldwide by the PS4).

When holiday period ends and 2015 starts, PS4 will go back to beating the X1. Pretty sure a PS4 price cut isn't far off, once that happens, PS4 will only take a bigger lead.

mikeslemonade2959d ago

PS4 will outsell the X1 this month in the U.S. There have been $349 deals for the PS4. The X1 already had its "party" of price drops earlier.

Mechanism2959d ago

The 42 countries gag.. STILL.. You are actually insane.

Get some help.

DarkAstronaut2959d ago (Edited 2959d ago )

Do you think Microsoft can't afford to launch in more countries?

There is no market for the Xbox One in the markets they haven't launched in.

Get over it.

Worldwide is all that matters to publishers/developers making games. PS4 is and always will be in control of the worldwide market. Not to mention the US currently in overall sold. That could change, but probably won't.

Just enjoy your Xbox One, you're not going to win this battle.

DarkOcelet2959d ago

To be honest, its not about if MS can afford to launch in more coutries because with all their money they have, i would say yes but outselling the PS4 , its gonna be extremely hard.

RiseofScorpio2959d ago

Likewise you just enjoy your PS4. Seems like you're getting more emotional than him about sales, with the constant essays, even though he is a troll.

bigpiece2959d ago

judging by your comment you take joy that the ps4 is outselling the xbox one. fanboy alert.

WeAreLegion2959d ago

What's your excuse for the rest of the world? It's cheaper in those countries, too.

Bathyj2959d ago

Apparently you and I (and the English dictionary) have very different meanings for the word domination.

I was just talking today with my nephew. He asked me why the Xbone got so cheap when it used to be more expensive and why it had so many free games with it now.

I explained how many have been sold compared to how many PS4s. He's 11 but even he got that MS are acting out of desperation without me actually saying that to him. Then again, he's a pretty smart kid.

Svinya2959d ago (Edited 2959d ago )

Nah, i think the reality is that both you and him are dumb.

GribbleGrunger2959d ago (Edited 2959d ago )

Yep, the XB1 only fell behind 240k this week. Looking good!

CervantesPR12959d ago

so winning 2 months in USA alone out of 12 month year is domination??? LOL

no its not domination, PS4 still outsold xbox one worldwide in November and December 2014

the xbox one has not been able to outsell the PS4 for this entire year!

PS4 is dominating not xbox one

ABizzel12959d ago

Don't you get tired of posting the same stuff over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.......

We get it you like XBO, but your post are as tired as your logic.

Domination, would be winning US sales by more than 26%, it would almost mean actually winning the US overall sales......

Price always makes a difference, and it was the main reason the 360 gained as much ground as it did on the PS3, however, the price the XBO is at will never make-up the ground it needs to catch the PS4 world-wide......

Yes congrats to all, and hopefully the Wii U can pick up in sales as well.

42 countries, and being exclusively for sale in a country with over 1/6 of the world's population yet still behind.......

Yes MS was right, the first console to reach 10m wins........

Just enjoy your console PCBOX, I mean DougLord, I mean Funatic1, I mean KWNS, I mean, Bizzare21, I mean HeMan76, I mean Gangsta_Red, I mean Greenpowerz. Yes that who you all are Greenpowerz. Stop hiding reopen you account and come back on here. You were much less annoying then, age hasn't brought you any kind of maturity at all.

poor_cus_of_games2958d ago

Yeah I've started doing bets with my gf saying that any xbox sales articles that comes up, trollhammer will be the first to comment with that same old tired ass comment. Also I agree with you about all of them accounts being the same person. Which is like a pain in the testicles, annoying yet worrying.

Solid week for ALL consoles.

Jaqen_Hghar2959d ago

yeah might wanna check those totals for the states before declaring dominance. PS4 still #1 even in Xbox's strongest territory. How embarrassing.

Svinya2959d ago

Your tired old shtick is what's really embarrassing..

Wh15ky2959d ago (Edited 2959d ago )

"very impressive for 42 Countries"

7 million = impressive for 2 countries.

3 million = pathetic for 40 countries.

Fixed it for you.

PS. I notice you commented 5hrs ago, yet last edited 15 mins ago. I seem to remember that truefan guy pulling that stunt quite regularly, haven't seen him in a while.

In fact after having a quick look back at my comment history, I see truefans account was last active 136 days ago and your account is 111 days old... interesting.

Gamer19822958d ago (Edited 2958d ago )

Xbox 360 sold double the ps3 in the usa last generation yet ps3 still outsold the xbox 360 overall.. This time its noway near those numbers. Xbox hasn't a chance this gen unless MS pulls out something special..

masterfox2958d ago

domination ? whatever makes you feel better buddy but don't go too much out of reality is not sane. :D

MazzingerZ2958d ago

are these weekly or monthly figures? I wonder because of that claim you make about X1 being top seller in the US last 2 months...

I am more curious about why MSFT is willing to give away their console...what do they know that we don't?

DarkAstronaut2959d ago (Edited 2959d ago )

Due to consistent PS4 undertracking and Xbox One overtracking, this could be very close.

I still think Xbox One will win December NPD and the PS4 will win easily worldwide in December.

Gamer19822958d ago

Maybe so but Xbox and PS4 are alot closer in the US now and PS4 will go back on top in the US in 2015 in weekly/monthly sales.. As the xbox sales are dropping quicker than ps4 sales. 10%-4%. Not to mention all those exclusives..

PoSTedUP2959d ago

ps4's price cut is keeping it only 40k behind the x1, not too shabby. next week it should be closer if my calculations are correct. sonys temp price cut was a smart idea.

madmonkey012959d ago

what price cut? ps4 will be back ahead soon enough.

KevWriter2959d ago

It's $350 at Best Buy right now. I haven't seen the same sale elsewhere, but maybe Best Buy is a test run for Sony.

PoSTedUP2959d ago

yeah thats my point. there wasnt a price cut and ps4 will be in the lead again soon. :P

madmonkey012959d ago

i see, i thought i had missed a price cut somewhere, as i think we will get one fairly soon.

Torque_CS_Lewith2959d ago

At this point the 3DS is simply tea-bagging the Vita. I mean almost 18 times more than your closest competitor is just plain showboating!

RiseofScorpio2959d ago (Edited 2959d ago )

The Sony fanboys love bragging about sales, but never about how the Vita is literally being curbstomped by the 3DS.

Edit: Oh i see the Sony fanboys arent taking to kindly to my comment, your tears are delicious, Sony should just exit the handheld race,. Nintendo is just toying with them now lol.

randomass1712959d ago

Maybe because the Vita is doing well in Japan and the PS4 makes up for its low sales in the west? Talking about one system's low performance does not really change the fact that PS4 is outdoing its competition in the west. :/

Jaqen_Hghar2959d ago

Only care about home consoles. Besides 3DS winning doesn't help the usual trolling Xbox fans' argument at all so that's kind of irrelevant. WiiU is awesome a man owns one. Nintendo and Sony=friends, MS=the enemy

OB1Biker2958d ago

Well Im happy with a Vita to go with my PS3 and my PS4 and not that much bothered about how it sells.
I think theres room for different handhelds and it doesnt have to be just one brand instead of a choice.
the 3DS has its fans and so does the Vita and I dont know what s your problem about sales most users actually dont care that much.
The 3DS will always be the best selling (there I said it for you) so what?

madmonkey012959d ago

its strange as the vita is the better device, but it just doesn't sell, in retail, image and marketing usually are just as important as the product, so something must be wrong in that department somewhere. that and the stupid memory cards.
