It's as if the wave of games for last gen, right before PS4 and XBOX ONE launched were really meant for this gen. Tomb Raider, Last of Us, Metro, Dark Souls 2, Grand Theft Auto, Sleeping Dogs, Resident Evil, Ratchet and Clank, Halo. I'm sure there'll be more. God of War and Uncharted have been rumored for remakes too right? Wouldn't be surprised to see a Borderlands remake. But Dark Souls 2 is one remake that I would get.

Agreed. It is kind of crazy..BUT, for me, it's a good thing lol. My PS3 died a few months before the PS4 came out so I missed out on a lot of these titles. I picked up Metro Redux PS4 for $25 on Amazon. I think as long as the developers aren't wasting time that can go into another game, I don't see the rage over remakes.

Yeah a lot of people are bashing remakes. My guess is, because many of them are full price, and because for the earlier part of the year, there wasn't that many games for the new systems, and not that many new IPs. But there were a few remake announcements. But people can't expect a full library of games at launch of new consoles. Historically this has never happened. I have no problems with remakes at all, except for when the remake is full price. I want GTA 5 so bad for PS4, but not for $60. I put 70 hours into the PS3 version.

I think the big thing for me is no bc for the PS4. I bought a lot of PS2 games for my PS3. It sucks. I saw a lot of PS3 games for $10 that I missed out on. I'll have to eventually buy another PS3 just to play them. I guess that's what Playstation Now is for...too bad it sucks right now lol.

I think as long as they don't keep coming out with remakes/remasters next year, it'll be ok. I think having a trilogy of each franchise would be a bit too far though lol. I'm hoping it will not come to that. I know they are releasing the first Ratchet and Clank game again on PS4. But that will be fully remastered. Now that is cool!

Dark Souls 2 Scholars of the First Sin is also for last gen systems. I believe that version releases in February and current gen is April 7th. In the link, it looks like the PC version. But as far as what edition that is, I don't know. It looks really cool though. Would hate if it was only for Japan.
