In addition to the standard PC stuff included in Command & Conquer: Kane's Wrath, EA decided to sweeten the deal a bit with some Xbox 360 goodies. One notable is Kane's Challenge: A bracket-style skirmish event comprised of eighty or so matches. Instead of simply tacking on a gauntlet affair to the PC bits, EA did it right by adding a full complement of video segments for this Xbox 360-only showcase. EALA came correct in the online portion of Command & Conquer: Kane's Wrath too; this might be the reason for a PC gamer to prefer the 360 version.
The convenience of Xbox Live is met with four player functionality spread across five different game modes. There are the standard FPS-style match types such as Versus, King of the Hill, Capture the Flag and Capture and Hold (node holding matches) for quite the variety in online gameplay. In addition, a slick Siege mode encases each player in a force field that cannot be broken until a timer elapses. The timer can be set up to fifteen minutes– the short of it is that you'll have free time to build up a home base and concoct your units before the enemy arrives at your doorstep. This is particularly handy when gamers of mismatched ability take to the front lines.
