"A job posting for a senior animator at the development studio suggests that the sequel to the well received Titanfall may be breaking free from the constraints of the last-generation of games consoles."
Welp, we all know what this means.
Making full articles out of nothing but a job listing is becoming common?
We don't even know it's titanfall. there was a job listing earlier in the year, requiring talent for a 3rd person action game.
I wouldn't mind seeing this on PS4, providing there is more content than the first had to offer. If this is referring to the sequel it sounds like a campaign is being added which is good.
Seeing as this will likely release in 2016, I'd hope developers will have stopped making cross gen games by then.
I would be shocked if Titanfall 2 was cross-gen since it likely won't come out till 2016 and hardly anyone will be making cross-gen games at that point (mostly sport ports).
@jimmydm90 You're right, developers need to move on, but tell that to Crystal Dynamics who will be releasing Rise of the Tomb Raider late 2015 still designing it to also run on last gen consoles. With the time exclusivity deal they signed, that could be a death knell for that game/franchise, which is a real shame because the reboot was really good.
Deep immersive single player campaign please!
Current-Gen Consoles don't need to be held back by the xbox 360 and ps3 anymore. Emphasis on CURRENT. It's been a year guys. The consoles are literally in your living rooms as we speak. Call it what it is. Current gen and previous gen. Also i would love to see a ps4 version of this.
Question is, will there be PS4 version this time?
Most likely, it's an awesome game! But like people said, it doesn't have enough content a $60 game. I really hope they make a single player campaign and co-op next time, I can just imagine how epic that would be. People think the game is not good because you don't read articles on it everyday. That's not true, it's just that there's not much to talk about. It's fun as hell to play and thats it. Due to a lack of story or co-op modes there's not much to discuss
As long as it has a substantial single player campaign and lots more customizable options, I'll be happy to give them a second chance.
Since when XB1 is a next-gen console?
Lol.. Poor guy.. You're still blinded..
Respawn, make a current gen only game, include a PS4 version, include single player, and watch it soar to the top of my want list!
titanfall 2 needs to be multiplat, so that they dont need to push that cloud ai which ms was forcing them to do. this means that they can make an offline singleplayer game and possibly boost sales.
Nobody forced them to do anything, where are you getting that from? And I don't think cloud ai means you can't have single player, both are possible on both systems.
well, forced was probably too strong of a word. clearly, they were pushing for azure cloud ai with all those bots running around and they said it wasnt really possible without cloud ai but i call bs. being an online only going meant that they could push that cloud tech further. judging, by what the devs said it would probably not run the same on the ps4. just the fact that they took advantage of ms servers.
It should be a good 2-3 years before the next one so I wouldn't expect them to support the old gen by then.
Wait a second, does someone actually think there going full out on animations on a fps... You know the animations you can't see due to it being a well first person. If animation is a huge focus it's no doubt it's a third person game, meaning it ain't Titanfall.
Legit, if this game was priced at $30-$40, would it matter to you if it had a campaign?
I would love for the Mechs to maybe actually transform. More mech classes too would be nice. And better environments that have weather conditions. Would love to play in a rain storm or during a blizzard or something that might effect all players. Whatever it is I am sure Respawn has heard and considered all the criticism it receive and are working on an excellent sequel to one of the games I had the most fun playing... so far for next gen consoles.
