VRFocus - It's now become fairly clear that Samsung's upcoming smartphone-based virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD), Gear VR, won't be launching in mid-October 2014 as initially thought. Neither Samsung nor partner Oculus VR have offered anything in the way of when the device might finally release, even with the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone with which it runs now rolling out around the globe. However a listing from a UK-based online retailer not only provides a price for the anticipated kit but also a release window and a bundle offer.
Covert will debut on Oculus Go and Gear VR later this year.
Turbo Button’s former Google Daydream exclusive goes multi-format.
Viking Days is a series of mini-game challenges using VR motion controllers to immerse the player in many daily activities.
I honestly don't know just how practical this Gear VR thing is nor the actual interest levels but I have to hand it to Samsung for taking the risk and trying to push technology forward like this.
