The latest numbered entry of the Wild Arms series, Wild Arms 5, has been released today on the Japanese PSN as a PS2 Classic.
At the end of January, Wild Arms creator Akifumi Kaneko teased a meeting with Sony about the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the series. Looks like the celebrations have started, at least on Kaneko-san’s Twitter.
Some are ff fans, some are star ocean or legend of dragoon....me I'm a wild arms fan! I've beat every wild arms games, except the psp srpg one...I'm hoping we get a ps4 wildarmssssss
Wild Arms is one of my favorite games, but you have to be careful about information. Its a teaser because it teases the player along. Tweets are the baits of rumor designed to get fans' motors runing. So if this is legit, we'll see soon. Otherwise, take all this with a grain of salt.
"Now that Sony is bringing PS2 games upscaled in 1080p and also includes trophies on the PlayStation 4, many JRPG gamers got excited with this idea as the PS2 had some of the best JRPGs ever released on any platform. If you grew up playing JRPGs on the Playstation 2, now is the time to get excited as maybe your all-time favorites will make a debut on the PlayStation 4." - JPS
How about every JRPG released on the PS2? That seems about right.
And i want FFXII on PS4 now!

PS2 era is the golden era of JRPGs, so it would be awesome if these games are released for PS4 as well.
Quite liked one of the hack games. Never finished it and haven't a clue where it's gone so I wouldn't mind giving that another go.
Not upscaled, rendered in 1080p. All upscaled would mean is that the game takes up the entire screen instead of only the pixels it would require (or maybe set to a 4:3 aspect)
1UP: "These games might not have made a critical splash, but their music will be remembered for years to come."
The Xenosaga franchise should have been on that list I thought the music was great. Also the Ar Tonelico franchise should have been on that list as well the music was awsome for that franchise as well.
Wow! Glad to see they got Unlimited Saga on the list. That would be my nr 1 pick. The first battle theme in that game is my favourite battle theme of all time.
Sh** just got real
North America and Europe are waiting.
Here's hoping they don't pull a Square-Enix and never put up the English version.
