It's not "haha fun". I just really appreciate the battle system and the enemy AI. The interesting level design and boss battles too.

However the reviews are graded on a WiiU scale. If the game at its current state came out on current gen hardware it would not get as high scores. There's higher standards and expectations on current gen hardware. Last gen hardware like the WiiU is in comparison to the PS3 and 360.

Nintendo bought the rights and funded Bayonetta 2, it will not be going anywhere other than Wii U. It certainly is not waisted on Wii U. As I get ready to replay the demo and buy Bayonetta 1&2 next week.

Did anyone really think Bayonetta 2 would score poorly? Reviewers loved the first game. Most people seemed to enjoy it, in general. It's a great game.

I think there are several titles that are incredibly fun AND look insane, but why focus on those when you can write articles about "the underdog"?

I bought the first one for 360 and then bought it for Ps3 knowing that the Ps3 got a bad port, that's how much I liked it.
Hideo Kojima teamed up with these guys when his first version of MGRevengeance got too complicated to complete. They have hack n slash experience at Platinum that goes way back to the classics. Only the ignorant could be shocked.

Honestly, after looking at some of the contents in other articles for Bayo, it also reminds me of how petty and childish people can be over the release of a great game simply because of the kind of game it is and the system that it's available on.
I've seen everything from "WiiU is a child's console" to "sales will be low, don't bother" to "Should be on PS4, XOne. No sale" and more. I'm excited for the game, it's just to bad a game with so many great scores and fans gets buried under resolution news for Far Cry and people that hate games just because our their platform.

I love seeing people negative comments..."Oh, I don't like hack'n'slash, especially ones with no story". THEN WHY GATECRASH THE PARTY. You can't be too impartial to the genre, if you come running in here to vent your disdain...Seems like your envious & can't/don't want to buy a Wii-U.

What makes me laugh even harder is this overused "STORY" in games BS.... Come on, who are people kidding... I don't buy a FPS, fighter, hack'n'slash, etc, etc, for the fricken story... Buy a point & click game if you want enthralling storylines, or read a Charles Dickens novel for christs sake. I play these genre of games for fun....They can have THE BEST story since Pulp Fiction, but if the gameplay & frame rate & other factors suck, then it's a sh1thouse game, with a wasted story.
The problem could arise with "STORY" driven games, that we get these BORING, ARTSY FARTSY, GAY COWBOY themed games, that make us shriek at the fact we are sitting around, watching a boring ass movie on our console, waiting, waiting, waiting, with baited breath for some damn interactivity & action. I don't want that sh1t.. Just look at David Cage's last effort & snoozefest, & think that it will only get WORSE from there...because it will.. You don't have to be some overated internet analyst to predict that.

@thepatientgamer.... Yes, they have, BUT, some have been GROSSLY overscored & given some kind of free reign, IMHO, & I say that as a Wii-U owner. I mean, Mario World 3D is one that I thought got MASSIVELY overscored & hyped.. The only 2 worthy of there scores is MarioKart 8 (& I'm Being very kind there, as I have a soft spot for MarioKart), & this, Bayonetta 2... I don't know how, or why Nintendo get a free pass with SOME of there Mario titles, but, they do, as I have not enjoyed ANY Mario game, as much as Mario64, as they seem to get worse, with every new iteration. MarioWorld 3D, for instance, is not even a proper 3D game, it feels & looks more like Crash Bandicoots retarded cousin.

I really really did not like mario64. I like the newer 3d mario way better because they are closer to my gold standard mario 2 and mario3. Galaxy really was closer to mario64.

Yet i won't dispute the scores for these games because they have excellent game design.

Bayo2 for example is very similar to dmc... I didn't really like the story I liked the game play. Actually if I could skip story all together I would.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, inFamous:SS, TLOU:R, and a ton of other games have reminded me that playing games are for having fun. I don't care much for resolution or framerate. Hell my TV only goes 720p anyway and I can't really tell much difference between 30fps and 60fps.

I honestly never paid much attention to it before the PS4 and X1 came out. But COD4 to Ghosts, Mortal Kombat are the only games that I played and I remember reading they ran at 60fps.
