Xbox One September Update Beta Causes Metro Redux to Crash: Microsoft Issues Workaround

If you got the disc version of Metro Redux for Xbox One and you’re also a member of the console’s update preview program, you may be in for some problems, as the September update can cause the game to crash or hang.

Luckily you’ll still be able to play your game, as Microsoft quickly issued a new patch, but it still require you to follow a specific procedure to make things work.

Its been fixed already with the latest dashboard update.

Also this is a prime example of what's wrong with n4g system. This shouldn't of ever been approved, but since Dualshockers uses their own group of approvers, which is not allowed by the way, this was approved.

No. It has not. The workaround is still required even past the update (which is correctly mentioned in the article mind you).

Which is why the update forum has a big sticky that says "*UPDATE 8/27*: Known issue and workaround for Metro Redux disc based..."

So someone who HAS THE GAME, and HAD THE ISSUE, and NO LONGER has the issue after the dashboard update, doesn't know more than someone who doesn't? Right....

And no one is blind to Dualshockers using n4g as their personal blog, and elevates their content by having multiple people click on the article to increase the heat rating. Since Dualshockers is Pro Sony, it happens fairly often.

It is unfortunate that those little clicks exist on n4g where they will send each other story to be approved.

Essentially manipulating the system to get their own site approved on n4g.

It decreases the real quality content on this site!

What crash? Been playing it for 2 hours now and no issue whatsoever

The issue i have metro 2033 near the start of the game when the guy is giving me his dog tad it just gets stuck on loading 99 percent or sends me to home screen. When I play last light once you capture the small alien in first chapter it has the same loading problem
