The solution to the Silent Hills PT demo's final puzzle has been revealed

Rely on Horror: A dedicated group of Silent Hill fans appear to have cracked the code on the Silent Hills PT demo. More specifically, the now infamous final puzzle that's eluded players from the beginning. Anyone that's played the demo knows triggering the second baby laugh during the final puzzle can be a complete pain, to the point where most people believed it was completely random.

Wow! That was some awesome detective work! Remind me to never try and kill anyone in your town, you'll definitely solve the case.

BrunoM3899d ago

Part they forgot is the many people who have finished the demo and have no mic plug in
Other who said the most random things in the mic some twitch guy who said "pizza" and got the baby's to laugh

There's something not right in all of this .. He may have gotten the right idea or path but there's something we are all missing here

thejigisup3899d ago

Didnt the ps4 come with a mic/earbud? I know mine did

BrunoM3899d ago

Lol yeah it did come but I mean have it plug in there's many who have finished and not have a mic plug in

Plus Kojima today came say that the 77 something number is just the area code an area in japan that is name converts to silent hills

So kinda goes and trows the name this guy came up with straight to the garbage

bunt-custardly3900d ago

Interesting, but what about people solving the puzzle without saying the name?

ramiuk13900d ago

way to much time on your hands

Saphodravingo3899d ago

LOL Seriously. It reminded me of those Magic Eye posters that were popular back in the 90's, wherein you had a bunch of people that stood around for hours, looking for something that wasn't there.

As a sidenote for all the people sipping the Kool-Aid, the numbers in the game have no real significance. 7880 is not "tree". It's the area code of a town in Japan which name translates to "Quiet Hills", according to Kojima himself. And there is no "Jarith". You could whisper "Pickle Weasle" into the mic and it would yield the same results.

The cake is a lie.

ramiuk13899d ago

haha pickle weasel lol

ziggurcat3900d ago

pretty clever... now all that needs to be figured out is how people who don't have mics were able to trigger the second laugh.

Huge difference i must admit, but not sure i would notice without 2 screens next to each other.

Not getting this game still, i want a new game and im tired of remasters

Muigi7h ago(Edited 7h ago)

It’s $10 and there are plenty of games out there for you.

Flewid6386h ago

Then its not a huge difference?

Remastered.....

Tedakin7h ago

Sony is now remastering games with 71s on metacritic.

Bathyj7h ago

Like that's a judge of anything
This game got scored before it was released.

andy857h ago

Days gone is 85+. It got heavily marked down at launch for bugs where as others get a free pass for that. It's a fantastic game.

andy857h ago

I spoiled myself by modding this game on my PC. Genuinely one of the best looking games I've ever seen. Whilst this remaster looks nice it just doesn't compare to that sadly. It shows the effort that these remasters could put in if they wanted

REDGUM7h ago

I so hope this game or DLC for those of us who own the original sells well.
Ive said it before, its an underrated game for sure & was unfairly judged upon release.
Please try this game if you haven't already.

For those who say 'i won't purchase digital only' you can pickup a hard copy for 5 bucks here in Australia, then add the DLC and you have a superb game for $20 or so.

Give it a shot, tell me I'm wrong After completing the game.

Game on gamers.

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH1h ago

It was full of bugs at release I wouldn’t call that being unfairly judged. If you want your game to score well then release it in a completed state. Now with that being said I think the game was pretty good.

Knushwood Butt1h ago

It really wasn't.
The worst I encountered was a horde spawning on top of me when exploring a cave.
Did you even play this at launch?
