Very good for the amount of things that can get aliasing in that Infiltrator Demo. It's all realtime rendered.

XB1_PS43596d ago

It looks like a prerendered CG trailer, that's how good it looks.

Pisque3595d ago

It's even, obviously enough, better looking than The Last of Us. But as it isn't a PS4 exclusive, Sony fanboys wont bark about how good the graphics look. Immaturity at its finest.

I Want this now! :) No more white line Jaggies!

starchild3595d ago

Proper anti-aliasing can have a dramatic effect on the visual quality of a scene. It's one of the most important aspects of a game's graphics to me. I don't care what you are doing with textures, shaders, post fx, etc. if the aliasing isn't adequately controlled all those other elements are basically worthless to me.

Gears is going to look so good using directx12 and unreal engine

Brazz3595d ago

only in your dreams gears will mange to have this level of AA. This thing is for PC, no way consoles that can't even reach 1080/60fps 100% of the times can do this...

( i'm including Ps4 and X1 in this comment.)

equal_youth3595d ago

gears is not in development at epic. :/

christrules00413595d ago

Well Epic licences the Unreal Engine out to other developers to use there engine for other games. Developers usually also work together so if a developer needs help with something they can get help from Epic.

Batman Arkham Knight is being made with Unreal Engine 4.

Fans??? This is done by one person

WoodsRatesGames1146d ago

Someone else was commissioned to do the music and another person modelled the batmobile. Links to all involved are included in the article.

Gaming4Life19811146d ago

They should have been made a batman game for the best batman movie. This looks amazing and now I must watch the movie.

Am I crazy or is there an Unreal Engine 5 now? Why promote old tech?

1166d ago Replies(2)
waverider1166d ago

I really dont understand either? isnt the Unreal Engine 5 already available for studios? arent they already working with it?

masterfox1166d ago

UE5 Is for PS5 only, deal with it! :D

***runs away from this thread with pride!**

Tacoboto1166d ago

UE5 is not released yet and developers for years will still make UE4 games because that's where their tools and customizations are.

Mortal Kombat still uses UE3. Mass Effect Legendary Edition is also still UE3.

Magog1166d ago

That more of an embarrassing indictment of those devs than a reason to promote old software.

Tacoboto1166d ago

Embarrassing indictment? You know nothing of software development then.

Spenok1166d ago (Edited 1166d ago )

Because a ridiculous amount of the industry still uses 4, and because no, 5 is not out yet. They said it would launch later this year.

AuraAbjure1166d ago

Companies still use Unreal Engine 3.

Really impressive tech but I don’t even notice all of these benefits in real life, never mind being chased by zombies in a video game. Rather devote resources to resolution and frame rate.

Magog1166d ago

If you suddenly stopped casting reflections in a mirror I think you would notice.

Edit: i misread this.

Einhander19711164d ago

Yes after seeing the Unreal 5 ps5 reveal, I thought that's where we were heading. But saying that I have read various articles that suggest its easy for developers to still work on Unreal 4 and carry everything over to Unreal 5 when needed, we shall see.
