Sega opened today a teaser website for the new PlayStation Exclusive Yakuza (Ryu Ga Gotoku) game the development of which was announced last month, revealing the date in which the game will be revealed and more.

Sadly, it won't. Yakuza: Ishin came out on the PS4 in Japan, but nobody cared. They just bought it on their PS3's.

Edit: It is the best selling PS4 game in Japan. However, it wasn't enough to make the PS4 a major hit in Japan. They would need a Yakuza to release only on the PS4 for that to happen.

I think sony or other publisher already tried to take the localization process of Yakuza from sega. But the thing is sega really stubborn. If it comes to their own IP, sega only want to publish it by themself.

I haven't bought a Sega game since Valkyria Chronicles and Vanquish on PS3. I don't know who is running Sega, but they have made some terrible business decisions for the past 5-7 years.

I'd have faith in this company if they Rereleased a Valkyria Chronicles collection for PS4 and Vanquish 2 for PS4/XBO. And finally localizing Yakuza for the west. Since those games make up most of their profit anyway.

The Yakuza localization campaign is starting this week.
We are mass mailing (hard copy) Sega in a polite manner to request localization for Yakuza games.
