"I am going to describe what I can about a game after only one hour of gameplay, so install and download times do not count. Since I am only playing a small part of the game, I am not giving a number score.
There are better top-down shooters out there. If you have not bought Super Stardust or Everyday Shooter, I would definitely pick those up instead. If you are a huge fan of the genre, then you will probably like this game. This game is pretty average, nothing stands out about it. Even though there is supposedly more content to be released in the future for this game, I doubt it would be anything worth the price of admission. There are better games out there."
XBA says: A roguelike shmup with some interesting ideas.
For Nova Strike to succeed, it needs to be a little less demanding. It needs to reward just a tad more.
Ready to blast your way through the galaxy, taking down the most formidable of foes in the process? Nova Strike on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC will provide you with the opportunity.
He's wrong. Novastrike is one of the best games on the psn right now. If you don't like classics like Boconia and so forth you won't like this but if you do it's a dream come true. Buy it guys you'll be suprised.
I just now that I own both Stardust HD and Everyday shooter and I love both and if I get Novestrike I'm not getting 1942 as these 2 are actually the ones that can be called similar games... I'm looking forward more to the release of this game in Europe, hope it's soon
Novastrike is a good game in my opinion, other then being a top-down shooter I wouldn't compare it to Stardust or Everyday Shooter because Novastrike is more about strategy and completing objectives then other two.
I love Stardust and Everyday and Novastrike does enough to stand on its own and offers a good change of pace from the other two. A demo would really help for some people but I say buy, its a good $10.
