Eurogamer :
"In the end, compared to a number of other Unreal-powered titles available on the new consoles, Outlast stands out for its fast frame-rate and solid image quality. The fact that the developers were able to deliver the same experience across both consoles is worth a bit of praise. Textures, texture filtering, models, and effects are identical across all three platforms for once. There are slight differences present, mostly in the form of variable performance, but these issues do not impact a mostly rock-solid experience."
Footage from what appears to be a prototype build of Red Barrels' first-person psychological survival horror game, Outlast, has emerged.
This sounds interesting. Red Barrels is teaming up with Lionsgate and renown horror producer Roy Lee to develop a feature film anchored in the rich and horrifying universe of the Outlast series.

Very safe list of horror games. I would argue that Amnesia Machine for Pig was not that great. Dark Descent was much a much better game.
Far better games have been released in this genre (Dead Space Remake, Alien Isolation, Alan Wake 2 etc).
The heck? didn't know this was on X1.Should definitely buy if you haven't played it yet.Game was sooo good.Especially with some good audio headsets. Was never a believer in headsets until i played this.
Also nice to see some parity for it.
Developers are mastering their tools
Had fun watching my 15 year old son play this last night (lights out, headphones on)...Scared the crap out of him. It's a great game to watch others play.
I'm shocked at the framerate drops on PS4. Not only was it completely brushed aside, but it was outright ignored that the X1 is the superior version. The PS4 version has drops into the low 40s and gets as bad as 24-29 fps in certain areas whereas the X1 version is consistently smooth. I know the PS4 Version was released earlier but the PS4 is supposed to be 50% more powerful and vastly easier to develop for than the X1. The game is also running on an old Unreal 3 engine so what exactly going on? This wouldn't be the first time the PS4 has shown drops in games.
Care to explain your disagrees?
Its a 60fps game and the PS4 version drops below 30. There are drops on the XB1 as well but nothing that dramatic. Why does DigitalFoundry just brush this information aside?
