Respawn COO: Single-Player Isn’t Ruled Out For The Titanfall Series

Welch says that the team is open to discussing a traditional single-player experience for future titles in the franchise, but it’s not a guarantee. “Would I rule it out for the future? no way in hell did Titanfall live upto the hype, first of all there was just too much hype. This was the IT new IP coming exclusive to xbox brand consoles.

This time a lot of people won't simply buy into hype, now that you have established the IP. Time to deliver on all ends.

Also some longevity, TF was one i played for less than a week and got tired of, its not a good thing when you release an online game and it doesn't have the longevity

Starhawk has a single player my friend and a really good one at that. I hate the fact yes HATE the fact sony put out starhawk to fail

they didn't advertise what so ever and gave up on it so quickly. That game on xbox360 would have done gangbuster numbers

Mag had more content than Titanfall but IMO Titanfall is more fun to play than mag was. Mag was amazing when things work the way they were suppose to, in a team of 128 damn when everyone worked together it was magic lol

I think we wioll truly see respawn deliver on all bases with TF2, TF was a learning experience on many levels.

Sp campaign or not Day one for me. Love this game and Marked for Death is the shizz. Just when I thought this game couldn't get anymore hectic Respawn turns up. Love the new art they put in the menu and the insignias. Everything about the update has added even more replay value to this awesome ass title.

Still don't get why people are so up in arms about Titanfall and the Hype. I Definitely feel that it should have had a single player campaign because it screams for one, but the game almost didn't release at all. It's still some of the better mechanics I have used in a FPS game. It's intuitive and responsive to me. 5 days worth of play that's about 120 hours of gaming I have "endured" or rather enjoyed playing online.

Plus I keep seeing new players in the lobby who just picked up the game all the time. So it's definitely getting played and played some more. Can't wait for TF2 though. I welcome a single player mode, co op mode or both 100%.

The problem with TF and having no SP is and focusing on just MP is this.

It is a sci fi game and what is sci fi known for rich universes and games usually have a campaign to get you engaged in the universe. When your campaign is a bunch of talking in the middle of a MP match it is kind of hard to give a crap what they are saying. The campaign is tacked on and useless, it feels like it is there just so they can say we have a campaign!

The game has all this potential for a good universe but does nothing to engage the player in it. I realize these devs come from the modern warfare military shooter so they dont expect to have things like lore in their game when it is based around the real world, but the sci fi genre does not work that way.

Now to the MP, for being so focused on just MP where is the different map sizes, game mode variety, and just overall selection of content. Look at the Halo package, it delivers a superb universe, great characters, community content, map and game mode variety, and character customization, not only all this but it does all of this extremely well. TF should go above and beyond that since it is a full priced MP only game.

A sequel has so much potential, and it is a shame TF did not do everything it could to be great. The gameplay is solid and not only that the game is just very fun however it has no meat on its bones

Not necessary. Just like some games don't need multiplayer some games don't need single player. This game does multiplayer superbly and is the best game available on current gen consoles.

Just got the update and man marked for death is super fun and they also added more burncards and emblems for your titan.

I would love to see a Titanfall RPG where you could customize your mech and character and explore planets. It would be cool to fight against creatures as well as other mechs and soldiers.

It certainly needs it. Hell even an offline mode for the potential sequel would gain more sales from an untapped resource which is the offline gamer. I love mechs but not a multiplayer gamer at all. Would love to see a game where it takes the mech parts of Titanfall and puts it into some large scale warfare of some kind. Like the old MechWarrior games of old.
