Interview: Respawn On The Future For Titanfall

It was once difficult to think of Respawn without recalling the drastic and desperate circumstances that led to the studio's formation. After all they are, somewhat perversely, the reasons why it exists.

I'm pretty sure they answered it by outselling the Xbox One the month Titanfall launched with retailers and Microsoft creating incentive to buy it. The PS4 outsold it every month since aswell.

It's difficult for any new IP to sell a console. I guess with it being a shooter and from ex COD developers they were hoping for a lot more sales after all the hype surrounding it...but gamers as a whole are a lot more wary nowadays with splashing out and also with the Xbox brand I guess.

I loved Titanfall for the first week or two after launch but I have not been back it ages. I just find it really shallow wish they had more game modes and a single player game. Hoping Titanfall 2 will be more complete.

Still regularly playing Tfall 3 months later. The update today was massive. So much stuff added it's kind of ridiculous. I just hit Gen 9.

Desperate circumstances left them only on Xbox One due to Xbox Ones struggling reputation at that time. They had to buy exclusiveness to stay relative because imagine if Titanfall came out looking better on PS4 after MS put so much hype behind it?

player count needs to drastically go up similar to battlefield numbers, not many pcs could handle 64 titans on screen so just have the titans spawn the same as tanks would in battlefield and lose them bots, they need to find a better way of implementing burn cards are just get rid of them altogether, add destruction to buildings/bridges

Sorry bigger isn't always better, and the bots need to stay because they pace the game. Iets say they took the bots out and made it 12 vs 12. All it would be is a kill riot with meches clogging up the screen. And no. Wall running because the buildings are destroyed. The burn cards I do agree on though. , just improve them don't take them out.

they claim 6v6 si due to making the titan bit balanced,but thats so easily sorted with a timer and limit to how many on team at once.
the reason it was 6v6 is due to console limitations imo and the pc version was limited so the xbone wouldnt look weak?
