What is there to do in Watch Dog's Free Roam Mode?

If you bought the PS4, Xbox One or PC version of Watch Dogs then you may be aware that it has an online Free Roam mode which supports up to 8 players at a time. Of course you’re probably used to Free Roam in games like Red Dead Redemption and GTA V but in both of those games there are a host of activities for players to engage in, from gang hideouts to robbing stores or putting bounties on players. Watch Dogs on the other hand just throws players into virtual Chicago with no indication of anything to do, it resembles GTA IV’s Free Roam mode except GTA IV had an airport and choppers which resulted in fun, whereas players in Watch Dogs just kind of wander around holding their dicks in their hands. So, what’s the point of it? Four members teamed up to find out.

I hope this game drops price soon,I am slightly interested just not enough to pay full price.

generic-user-name1579d ago

Yeah, I wouldn't call it a 'must have' title.

KingKelloggTheWH1579d ago

It looks like there is plenty of fun to be had though, well if your guys experience was any indication.

It's definitely worth getting, but don't buy digital. When you finish the game there's absolutely nothing to go back to. It's good for a new ip but reminiscent of the first Assassins Creed. Main campaign can be finished pretty quickly and side missions are very repetitive. I don't know what Ubi were thinking when adding the side missions too. Some types of side missions were really good but there was only a handful of that type, then there's bucket loads of the side missions that were really boring. You'll understand when you play it. Get it, finish it and trade it in.

I prebought it for PS4. I love it. The only gripe I have is that there is so much going on around me that I have trouble focusing on the one thing I set out to do.

It is fun, beautiful and hacking things just to hack them is fun.

Got it for $22.50... pc version... boom!

ScottyHoss1579d ago

I'm sorry you wasted 22.50 on an unoptimized game :P

Vehicles in gta 5 are fun to drive.. Driving in watchdogs is plain infuriating!

hkgamer1579d ago

havent played gtav yet but didnt people prefer the graiv driving. gtav supposedly had simple driving mechanics.

Immorals1579d ago

@hkgamer I didn't like the handling in gta4. It was easy and fun to control cars in gtav.

frezhblunts1579d ago

Well IN gta5 online you can make a race on the street with the phone or even go into markers on the map to go into jobs and races together. They should have did that with watchdogs because I hate having to do private to play with friends I want public with friends but it doesnt transfer over the party

I liked the single player campaign alot! So much to do. Never walked around holding my d!ck

generic-user-name1579d ago

This article talks only about the Free Roam mode, not single player.

ibrake4naps1578d ago

Yes, but one player is definitely worth your coin!

I have read a lot of negative reviews about this game lately. Thankfully I haven't bought a copy of this game yet.
