Watch Dogs is one of the most highly anticipated games in history. Did it deliver on the hype?
If you are looking for a bargain, check out the huge discounts across the entire WatchDogs series on Steam.
With the world of information and technology, privacy and security growing every day, Watch Dogs deserves another chance in the spotlight, now more than ever.
The only Ubi title that deserves a faithful remake right now is Splinter Cell 1.
All 2014+ Ubi titles are just underwhelming. Especially ones from 2016+ are just cancer.
The fist watchdog game was the best by far
After that they weren't weird and annoying with that hipster stuff. Aiden was a badass.
From VG247: "When cars slide, they leave tyre marks. In a game like Driver, they’re an aesthetic touch, part of the inherent cool of a handbrake turn. But those dark shadows in the road also tell a story. From tyre marks, you can determine the speed of a vehicle, when it started to skid, and its ultimate direction of travel – long after the car itself has vanished into the distance."
Why did they stop making some of the best games ever? Driver was one of them.
A story driven game with pure driving gameplay. I'd love to see a new Driver game or a remake of the first one.
Just no..cant understand some these reviews this game is brillant and loving it asmuch if not more than gta.
Agreed beebap, "just no" indeed, I feel like Watch Dogs is getting some harsh reviews...
Partially for click bait (because it's actually working) and partially due to legitimate opinions. Some people don't like open world, non-linear games. My best comparison would be to that of religious fundamentalists/creationists who ignore progress; but, that's just how I make sense of myopic people who are scared of being creative.
"...by hacking camera after camera to unlock a door, one quickly misses the simplicity of a well-placed door kick-in or lock-pick. This raises a question: though the hacking element is new, does that automatically translate to better, or is this just a gimmick and a fresh coat of paint on a familiar type of game?"
If that's the reviewer's benchmark, what ISN'T a gimmick and a fresh coat of paint on a familiar type of game?
These mid-level reviews seem to all have an undertone of bitterness to them, and* they very consistently lead in with the level of hype that Watch Dogs had for 2+ years. This feels very much like the reviewers had impossibly high expectations. I'm pretty darn critical, and while I've only clocked 5 hours or so, I think Watch Dogs is a very well done game.
A blend of Splinter Cell w/ GTA. Could it be better? Sure! Name a game that couldn't be improved upon (other than Half Life 2).
I went into watch dogs with the attitude of "meh" when I first started it, but I'm actually loving it! the story is pretty solid, some of the jokes and conversations I've hard just hacking people have been great, the city is pretty solid as well.
Rather impressed, good thing I had finished wolfenstein before I started thisl
I don't normally comment on this website, but Watch_dogs deserves at least a score of 8. The story is solid ,the characters are great and the multiplayer is so much fun. There are also tones of side missions and the digital trips are quality. The game however is let down by simple things such as bugs and the connection to the Ubisoft servers. Personally I would give the game an 8.5
