Titanfall Capture The Flag Mode Makes Return Based On Fan Feedback (But Not Their Gameplay History)

Hardcore Gamer: Good thing Respawn listened to their fans and brought back the highly innovative "sit around and wait for nothing to happen" game mode that was a big hit with people who loved Titanfall but also wanted to fall asleep. Fans of the mode were quick to point out, however, that if they wanted to sit around and wait for a match wasn't it their right to do so? And, more importantly, now that they identified a problem with the matchmaking for this mode couldn't they, oh, I don't know...fix it? Their solution to fixing the problem was to take the mode out behind a shed and beat it with a shovel, then drag its mangled body back out in front of its audience and proclaim, "Look! We fixed it!"

God, people can be such babies about these kind of things. Oh how dare Respawn remove a mode that you never played anyway. First world problems.

iamnsuperman4046d ago

Yes because removing game modes is a totally normal and accepted practice /s

It isn't like nobody played it. Just not a lot

OrangePowerz4046d ago

It's not like the game has a huge amount of different modes to choose.

papashango4046d ago

if the mode is there and it's done...why remove it in the first place?

MRMagoo1234046d ago

Its not like a lot of people play the actual game , does that mean they will get rid of the game? lol

InTheZoneAC4045d ago

just like every game says with it's online portions, they can alter or stop services at any point in time...people need to learn this...

So you're saying that the people who paid full price for this game don't have a right to access all of the content that they paid for? What about those that did play this mode?

You're calling them babies because they actually want to have fun with something they spent money on?

rocketpanda4045d ago

Right, because removing a mode when it was there when you purchased the game is such a great move....

Regardless if the mode is played or not, it was a silly move.

Yetter4045d ago

Its my favorite game mode of all. Mind you I'm playing on XB1 and just do the variety matchmaking but I seem to play plenty of CTF matches

CTF The flag and last titan standing are the best game modes and without playing them the game gets boring after awhile....I would suggest variety mode to anyone just starting

hellzsupernova4046d ago

surprised at how fast the pc community moved on from titanfall. They are already struggling so much that they remove game modes.

annus4046d ago

CTF was dead even at launch, which sucked because it was my favourite game mode but it was so hard to find a match.

hellzsupernova4046d ago

It is one of my personal favorite modes, I remember it in the original Halo so much fun.

Shame people just want to play death matches

Skate-AK4046d ago

I thought it was weird they removed a game mode also.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad1018d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g1017d ago (Edited 1017d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

gurp418d ago

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
