GXC: "Repetitive missions, a lackluster story – elements that usually make a game unworthy of spending hours of our lives playing. But when those faults are overshadowed by deep and engaging gameplay, you tend to forget about those imperfections. This is what you find with Ragnarok Odyssey ACE – an upgrade to the 2012 release of the PlayStation Vita exclusive, Ragnarok Odyssey. Now on both the PS3 and Vita, ACE takes the original game and adds even more content to the already jam-packed original game. This addition of new gameplay elements and content in turn makes the game all the more worthwhile despite its many faults."
Ragnarok Odyssey Ace plays and feels nothing like the well known Ragnarok Online game we all know and love(d). Familiarity to the MMMO is lost as the game only presents vague representations and mentions of the content from Ragnarok Online.
Those familiar with Ragnarok Online should treat this as a new and totally different game.
New Ragnarok Odyssey ACE update adds a plethora of new content to Game Arts’ action RPG.
PixlBit | "Going into Ragnarok Odyssey ACE I was excited. To find out that the game was a spin-off of the one MMORPG that I actually was fully engrossed in for a period of time was a treat. Though this game and Ragnarok Online are indeed very different, the similarities and shared aspects were apparent from the get go. However, while I enjoyed those aspects, I may have been better off getting the Playstation Vita version.
