Titanfall Patch to be Released Soon, Private Matches, Gooser Update, and More

MP1st - Respawn has announced that Titanfall players should expect a patch to be rolled out later on today, adding private matches and tweaking a few more things.

I'm still baffled it did not come with private matches in the first place, it's a standard. At least they actually are releasing it in a timely manner, unlike the sour taste that is GTA V Online with heists which was promised early on.

When a MP-shooter only has 5 modes at launch, you're missing some stuff. It might be fun, but pragmatically, giving a game full-priced MP a pass on having so few modes with a full 10/10 is ridiculous.

The game modes I can agree on but the game is averaging 86 on Metacritic. I do't see how that is ridiculous. Titanfall did a lot of things right. I'd rather have an enjoyable game with tonnes of replayability that a feature-rich and ultimately bland title.

Gamers own fault we allow for this with what we will accept and pay for today. We pay for DLC at the drop off a hat. Used to be a time these developers had to work for are loyalty. Now its a more a case can we keep this game exclusive can we tempt gamers with more DLC.

Games cost £90+ these days that way to much. If you picked up Battlefield 4 Titanfall and cod ghosts last year and included all there dlc.

That's the guts off £300 gone there alone on game and season passes and that's not even special editions off the games.

I don't know we used to be able to rely on the maps on these games coming along for free esp if you where on the PC. Now days its just one big money grab.

Soon we will get the key to the door and the game there in every level will be paid access.

Coming soon from EA a game that will take you on an epic journey from riches to ruin. All you need to do is open your wallet.

Private matches aren't that standard on free dedicated servers..

Never thought about it much before now.. But its really surprising since private matches usually use p2p or a paid private server

Agreed they may not be common on free dedicated server games but they have become a fairly standard feature for online MP FPS games on consoles so it seems like a miss to the average person imo.

Please don't get me started on heists brother. That's why I bought that game, since they advertised it prior to launch. I got my Xbox one on Christmas and it still didn't have a release date. Sold the console and all the games including GTA. Man, that game was a mess online.

I'm so glad they're changing it - I'm at Level 49 on Gen 5 and I still only have 1 Gooser. I know I CAN do it, but it's hard when you actually HAVE to do it.

Exactly. 50 is way too high. It comes to the point of it being a grinding challenge. I don't want to have the mindset after a long day of work that my few hours to game will be spent trying to do one challenge for weeks on end. This was the right decision, especially for Gen 5. I'm level 49 Gen. 4 so this update came right on time!

I never even noticed it didn't have a private match option.

I haven't played a private match on an online shooter since halo 2.

I'd rather just play with my friends against other people. That's just me of course, I'm not saying the option shouldn't be there at all. I just personally don't miss it.

Just downloaded the update there is a private match beta option. You can setup game type but not remove bots.

Just read the patches notes, jeez.
All Private Match games are still played on dedicated servers via Xbox Live Cloud Compute, just like normal matches.

This is amazing, i hate the bots are in, but playing private with dedicated servers awesome.

Party Colors - Your party members and their titans now show up on the mini-map with green colors, instead of the normal blue colors that other friendlies use. Their names are also drawn in green on your HUD, the obituary text, and in the pre-game lobby. This helps you figure out where your friends are and what they're up to, especially in the heat of combat.

Awesome new feature too. Certainly help with figure out who's human or a bot, big plus.

Titanfall is about 8 score anything less is a joke. Its a fun game with lots of maps.

Its biggest failing is the campaign-multiplayer aspect. It just wasn't done right at all. Respawn should have added more maps instead.

The games modes aren't the best. I think out of the six pilothunter is the best with capture the flag been second. Hardpoint third.

They changed some things for titan weapons, except the plasma railgun, I hate the thing, may not regen even due to having to use it.

that's what I'm saying I work really hard getting my goosers and I only need a handful more to get the challenge and now it's going to be lowered to 5 so I'll never get that internally know that whatever that's coming out later kind of pissed off about that if you can't get the challenge maybe you don't need to be that level of regeneration!

Private match is cool, but this isn't a game that you need to go 1 vs 1 with...It's more fun with MORE players. If they added a Bot feature that would be better.

I'd rather see a split-screen option, although I doubt that is possible at this point.
