TT "I talked previously about the hardware and cost issues for the Xbox One. Those are major issues, but can be overcome with enough exclusive content. That’s where Microsoft is failing. I won’t even bring up the frame rate issues in traditional multiplatform games. Even with the performance flaws of the Xbox One editions of those games, they still serve a purpose. While creating competition between the various consoles, they help developers learn how to utilize the system architecture for the consoles."
Popularized by Doom in 1993 and still making video game haters gnash their teeth today, first-person shooter games are the best thing to happen to gamers since pizza rolls. So here are 15 underrated first-person shooter games you may have missed.
Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.
Lol
All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.
XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games
I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games
Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
Sales for the original Titanfall are being discontinued.
It will be pulled from subscription services on March 1, 2022.
Physical media. Unfortunately the way games are going these days game servers will eventually be shut down and you can stare at the menu and wish you could play the game again.
it looks nice on shelves why move it
The X1s line up currently has plenty of exclusives. Going forward more exclusives will come. After a price drop, I fully expect the X1 to overcome the ps4 in NA. The 360 trounced the ps3 in NA. The only thing helping the ps4 right now is price. MS showcased a slew of games at E3 2013, and it looks like E3 2014 will be even better.

Whoever wrote this article is stupid. Kinect needs to come with the X1. The X1 is an all in one device, and removing Kinect would cause the X1 to lose that advantage. People still whining about Kinect being included with the X1 are ignorant to what all Kinect adds to the X1. I myself was ignorant of Kinect until I purchased an X1 and found out what all Kinect brings. I wouldn't want an X1 without being able to control my entire entertainment center. Kinect brings video chat as well as a more robust set of features for Upload Studio, and Twitch. I can move between games in seconds by simply speaking. An X1 without Kinect would be a step backwards.
Here's an idea.... how about a documentary about a crappy game that ended up in a garbage heap?
Intrigued yet? Didn't think so.
I think after E3 we will have a better understanding of the exclusives that are in development. Right now, the only ones that pop into my head are: Halo 5, Kinect Sports, Sunset Overdrive, and Quantum Break. Of course, I expect to hear about Forza Horizons, Class 4, Crackdown, Gears, and a plethora of unannounced goodness, but your work-a-day shlub doesn't know about that kind of stuff. MS needs to put it's best foot forward and wow people with an irresistible lineup of exclusive software.
Personally, I'm not worried. Watch what a billion dollars can do.
How many exclusives do u ppl want there is already....11 exclusive and 12 console exclusive right now...geez
Exclusives are a bad way to compare things.
MS allows publishers and devts to ship on Windows and XB because they benefit from both platforms receiving the game. Sony studios only ships Sony games to PS platforms. So, Sony always wins the exclusive battle...
But, lets talk about new IPs this gen so far... Titanfall, Ryse, PvZ Garden Warefare, Lococycle, Powerstar Golf, Xbox Fitness, Fighter Within, Crimson Dragon, Max and the Curse of Brotherhood, and Zoo Tycoon have all appeared on X1 first.
And completely new revs of existing games like Deadrising, Forza, Killer Instinct, and Peggle are only on X1...
Sure PS has more exclusives, but when it comes to fresh, new content X1 is the place to be.
