David Jagneaux from The Koalition writes: "Ever since the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (okay, I guess the Wii U as well) were first announced, gamers were filled with mixed emotions. Yes, new games and new consoles are always exciting, no doubt, but when the majority of the games available are just rehashed versions of games that people can already play on their current systems, the excitement is hard to sustain. I was pretty vocal about the fact that I did not think either platform was worth buying at launch (and I think virtually all of my points were validated) but most of those concerns have been totally revoked now. The Xbox One has a great shooter than can't be found on the PS4 and the PS4 now has a decent small library of exclusives, indies, and quality third-party content. The crowning jewel of that library now, is of course, Sucker Punch's inFAMOUS: Second Son."
Huzaifah from eXputer writes, "My favorite type of genre in games is when enemies are merely animal fodder in the eyes of the protagonist's sheer power."
Fans of the action-adventure franchise have been eagerly awaiting news of a potential sequel to one of the best games on the PS4.
Umm ... how about this?
First we get the Tushima sequel(coz its most rumored)
Then a new Resistance (need new PS SP FPS)
Then a totally new IP (new IPs are always interesting)
And then a new inFamous?
I had a great time with the second son. Never got to play the originals and hope they get remastered one day.
If I had a choice between another Infamous game and another Spider-Man game, I choose Spider-Man. Sony should spend its resources on its winners.
inFAMOUS Second Son was one of PS4's best exclusives, but does it hold up a decade later?
100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released
Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.
Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.
Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run
I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.
Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.
I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.
Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion
This is a good post about 4 reasons why Infam-ass is the first thing on the next things or something.
While the game is fun and the AI is surprisingly good, it doesn't feel like a game that couldn't have been done on the PS3. Yes, I know the graphics; lighting facial, and particle effects are great. I wouldn't just go out and scream "now this is next-gen" much like TitanFall which in fact can be done on last gen system. I think our definitive next-gen games will really take hold over this coming holiday season.
I've only begun to play the game, but from what I have seen it is very fun. Can't wait to expand my arsenal of powers..
I am sure the game could have existed on the PS3, but a lot would have changed in order to accommodate and who knows what the end result would have been. I am happy that the game could be delivered to us with no sacrifices.
I almost cancelled my order due to a few mediocre reviews - I'm so glad I bought it! having lots of fun, just got to the neon powers - the graphics are absolutely stunning :)
Hmm, I like inFamous... but is this really the best 4 reasons it's next gen? Really?
Reason 1 - it's next gen because you can only play it on a next gen console!
Reason 2 - It's next gen because it looks good
Reason 3 - It's next gen because it uses a controller only available on a next gen console!
Reason 4 - You have more powers than in the previous games
Wow... That'll have them lined up round the block to buy a PS4 and inFamous bundle.
How about reasons it's not next gen...
Game play isn't different enough from the previous games
City doesn't feel any more alive than previous games
Mission structure still stuck in the repetitive last gen model
Strip off the graphics and this could be a PS3 game
