Titanfall: Xbox One vs. PC Graphics Comparison

Xbox One and PC go head-to-head in this graphics comparison.

Oh look, a Youtube video -__- ...."lets compare these 2 versions of the same game, one of which runs at native 1080p but is being displayed on a crappy video player that compresses it's "1080p" setting tons so it looks considerably worse than how it does on your own TV/monitor".

When will game comparison videos actually get with the times? Seems like a lot of time doing these comparison is wasted due to the fact you can hardly tell the difference.

*Calls to Gamersyde to save us*. Next-gen games need next-gen comparisons

UltimateMaster4123d ago

Still, you can see there is a difference between the 2.

GarrusVakarian4123d ago (Edited 4123d ago )

Yeah, setting it to "1080p" and pausing it every now and again reveals the PC version to be much sharper with less jaggies.....but it would look much better than that on your own screen....or with Gamersyde's help :p

Youtube 1080p is so poor, you can literally see the compression artifacts around the edges of things.

they look pretty similar overall but advantage to the game resolution on PC and more background.

they game is damn ugly i'm still looking forward to seeing how the 360 version looks like.

Am I missing something in the video?

Is the PC using a controller? Why do I see RB and console control DPAD on both?

Am I missing something or just wrong in what I am seeing?

tee_bag2424122d ago

Plus youtube can't display more than 60fps

Spinal4122d ago (Edited 4122d ago )

YouTube is stuck at 30fps it cant do anything above 30fps. Not even close to 60fps.

tee_bag2424122d ago

IGN really shouldn't be doing theses they always get it wrong. Again they have the wrong settings resulting in major black crush going on (Happened with thief also). DF seems to get their settings better.

Amazing at 2:06 they managed to capture some screen tear lool.

At 2:45 looks like the lighting/shadows are a bit better on PC. You can see the outlines of the trees better on the container.

Overall the image does appear blurrier/softer on XB1 due to the lower resolution.

The AA on the PC version doesn't seem that high to me.

Good thing gamersyde has PC and XB1 footage now I can watch to compare better than Youtube.

PainUzumaki4123d ago

LMAO why would you even compare the two....This shit is 792p!! It looks like an 360 game.

Trekster_Gamer4122d ago

Pain... You are either blind or just fn stupid to see how good this looks onXbox One.. You pathetic TROLL

I've played on the One with up to 10 diffrent people on my friends list, and not 1 of them complained about the graphics. The main complaint is the occasional slow down in fps drops. The game is alot of fun. Im already level 48. This game is about having fun and being social with friends, NOT 1080p.

Milruka4123d ago

A slow down in fps is graphics related...Thus your friends were complaining about the graphics.

good job...

More people need this attitude!

"This game is about having fun and being social with friends, NOT 1080p."

couldn't have said it better. Bubbles to you sir.

I think the game looks great, both versions. I'm really looking forward to taking on some titans tonight!
come on midnight!!!

sagapo4123d ago

The main difference from what I've seen on this video:
PC has sharper textures (due to higher resolution no doubt) and some Vsync issues on Xone. But the Xone version still looks pretty good and the texture quality is as good as equal.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad1020d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g1020d ago (Edited 1020d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

gurp420d ago

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
