Sam Kennedy writes:
''More a reimagining of the series than a sequel according to its developers, Golden Axe: Beast Rider takes what people liked about the old Golden Axe hack-n-slash games and modernizes things to appeal to gamers of today. That's the idea, anyway. Not everything Golden Axe fans would want seems to be present in this game -- no co-op play, for example -- but a good deal of what made the prior games fun has been maintained or even enhanced here. For example, as the name suggests, a lot of emphasis is now on the beasts. Whereas in previous games you would only get to ride them for brief periods of time, here they've become an integral part of the gameplay. While the dwarf Gilius Thunderhead and barbarian Ax Battler are present in the game's storyline, this time around you only play as the amazon Tyris Flare. From her revealing garb to the blatant strategically provocative camera angles, it's clear the emphasis here is on sex appeal.''
Okay, Sega. the devs of Streets of Rage 4 together and let's make a new Golden Axe happen.

Can someone put a pillow over Sonic's face and hold it down until he stops struggling? It'll be an act of kindness.
So many disappointments. It's so sad when a well loved franchise looks like it's dying in front of your eyes. (I miss you Sonic, I hope you come back some day)
I dunno, I think these games are great in a certain way. They're a fantastic counter argument against reboots in general and that at least is something
