Nice video. Though I'd preferred cloth sim to take place on something other than a tube.

Gazondaily4139d ago

I love those cute little minions. Little schmuggly wuggly things.

I want to see cloth being torn though. That would be a better demonstration of physics.

Are_The_MaDNess4139d ago

the unreal engine already supports Nvidia Physx witch already have tearing in cloth and plastic.

ofc it can be improved on...

GentlemenRUs4139d ago (Edited 4139d ago )

That's a nice 24fps you got there ;)

When you get what I mean by this comment, you'll crap Bricks.

Destrania4139d ago

Uhh... The Order:1886 decimates that. (and yes, I'm just referring to cloth physics)

sorane4139d ago

Really because I watched the "gameplay" video released yesterday and saw nothing that "decimated" that. You have a link to the second gameplay video that I must have missed?

Destrania4139d ago

Wow... you need your eyes checked or possibly your brain or something. I love that you put quotations around "gameplay" as well because apparently the game looks too good to be true haha. Here you go...

sorane4139d ago (Edited 4139d ago )

Yup that's the same thing I watched and still don't see it. I put the quotations around gameplay because there was about 10 seconds of it in that whole trailer, and it was very very unimpressive(ALOT of others agree also go check the gaf post). Seems to me you're the one needing a doctor seeing as you thought that cutscene montage was actual gameplay. Even that link you posted only has 2 gifs that are actual gameplay. Pretty easy to see the cape in this vid is moving just as good as anything in the Order.

Right? Thanks for checking it out!

Fans??? This is done by one person

WoodsRatesGames1506d ago

Someone else was commissioned to do the music and another person modelled the batmobile. Links to all involved are included in the article.

Gaming4Life19811507d ago

They should have been made a batman game for the best batman movie. This looks amazing and now I must watch the movie.

Am I crazy or is there an Unreal Engine 5 now? Why promote old tech?

waverider1527d ago

I really dont understand either? isnt the Unreal Engine 5 already available for studios? arent they already working with it?

masterfox1527d ago

UE5 Is for PS5 only, deal with it! :D

***runs away from this thread with pride!**

Tacoboto1527d ago

UE5 is not released yet and developers for years will still make UE4 games because that's where their tools and customizations are.

Mortal Kombat still uses UE3. Mass Effect Legendary Edition is also still UE3.

Magog1527d ago

That more of an embarrassing indictment of those devs than a reason to promote old software.

Tacoboto1527d ago

Embarrassing indictment? You know nothing of software development then.

Spenok1527d ago (Edited 1527d ago )

Because a ridiculous amount of the industry still uses 4, and because no, 5 is not out yet. They said it would launch later this year.

AuraAbjure1527d ago

Companies still use Unreal Engine 3.

Really impressive tech but I don’t even notice all of these benefits in real life, never mind being chased by zombies in a video game. Rather devote resources to resolution and frame rate.

Magog1527d ago

If you suddenly stopped casting reflections in a mirror I think you would notice.

Edit: i misread this.

Einhander19711525d ago

Yes after seeing the Unreal 5 ps5 reveal, I thought that's where we were heading. But saying that I have read various articles that suggest its easy for developers to still work on Unreal 4 and carry everything over to Unreal 5 when needed, we shall see.
