It's a good thing my PC's specs are high enough to run the beta on Insane.

Even though any quad core Intel CPU from the last 6 years will run most games at their full potential, you still need a mid-high end graphics card if you want to play newer games at high fps @ 1080p.

I'm personally waiting for UE4 & Source 2 engine games to start coming out before i upgrade my GPU, nothing new i want to play right now.

I have a 5850 which was very high end when I got it still on the edge of high end from 5 years ago. I can say this game doesnt push anything at all. In fact when I am playing TF my GPU isnt even working hard as I can tell by the sound of my gpu fan when its really in full throttle. I can say however the game runs at a stable frame rate so its pick your poison. I wouldn't have mind for better visuals and play it at 30fps though it looks very bad when you just finished playing BF/KZ.

I played this on my 670GTX at 2560x1600 and runs butters smooth -- this isn't a taxing game. And it sure isn't that great looking either. Art direction is boring, lighting is really flat. Textures are high res, yes, but that doesn't save how this game looks TO ME. I do like the wallrunning and double jumping, not enjoying the mechs as much. Curious to see how see how the game intertwines MP with SP since it supposedly has an ending.

@Stillgray

I put everything to high and insane. I could not connect to a server. The minute I dropped everything to just high and 2xaa I was able to get in. It was weird considering I have two very powerful cards. However, the game looks very good in 1920x1080.

Even on Insane the game looks like its dated back to year 2005. The game just looks god awful and the game play is even worst. Even in 3 weeks the game wont look much different on release which is really sad. Activision went the right direction with Destiny which will be the long lasting game while titanfall will be a flash in the pan until the next game comes out.

The beta footage was enough to get me to pre-order the PC version. I just can't wait to play the game and I'm not planning to get the Xbox One until later on down the line.

Volkama4135d ago

If you really can't wait then open origin and check your list of games. Beta will be there ready to dl and play until 19th (end of I assume)

hulk_bash19874135d ago

I've downloaded Origin and checked but sadly no beta download.

Crazyglues4135d ago (Edited 4135d ago )

@ Volkama

Your right, didn't need the code, downloading now.. wow Interesting?

-But maybe that's because I had signed up for the beta - I just checked my email and they did send me a code..

so not sure if that's why it's there or if it's just there for everyone.?

Volkama4135d ago (Edited 4135d ago )

It doesn't appear anywhere on the store, but as a game you already own.

Could be you had to have origin at the point they hit the button or something, in which case all I can say is March isn't that far away :-)

@crazyglues I don't have the answers sorry! I am downloading it right now myself in the manner I described after reading about it earlier today. No code, it's just there. I figured it'd be that way for everyone, so tried to help a gamer out...

MrGEE4135d ago

high looks like low ,and insane like normal

Conzul4135d ago

Yeah.

Though the unimpressiveness might be attributable to poor lighting, not the textures themselves.(i.e. the wire in the foreground of the 3rd picture)

MrGEE4135d ago

true.. and shaders looks poor too.gun looks like its made from plastic.kids and cod players will like it anyway..

NeoTribe4134d ago

And xbox1 like integrated graphics.

HighResHero4135d ago

haha, "Insane setting". That's wacky, no it's bonkers!

Volkama4135d ago

I was hoping "insane" textures made everything look like intestines or something, but so far it's disappointingly sane.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad1009d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g1008d ago (Edited 1008d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

gurp409d ago

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
