Titanfall screenshots: max settings at 7680x1440 on LPC

PC Gamer: The Titanfall beta is live (read and watch our impressions), and what better PC to run it on than our own Large Pixel Collider, with its four GeForce GTX Titans? We actually only powered up two of the Titans for this battle (a long story involving watt meters and circuit breakers), but that didn't stop us from spanning three 1440p monitors for a total resolution of 7680x1440.

Yeah, don't zoom in on the fabrics or the scarves/rags they're wearing. Ugh, I feel like I'm looking at an iD Tech 3 engine.

Nostalgia has value, though, right?

wtopez4137d ago

Thanks PC gamer, for being subtle in you PC-Power-D*ck waving. Still, those screenshots look amazing.

Somebody4137d ago

Just...don't look at it directly. Avoid eye contact. Otherwise you'll have it in your dreams for eternity.

elhebbo164137d ago

Yea because every PC gamer owns an crazily expensive rig and are always trying to show off, yea nice generalizing there.

wtopez4136d ago

I'm not generalizing at all. If fact I'm being very specific. When I wrote "Thanks PC Gamer" I was referring to PC Gamer Magazine. You know, the site that the screenshots are posted in? PCGamer.com? The same PC Gamer that built the Large Pixel Collider PC (which houses 4x GTX Titans, an i7-4960X, 64 GBs Ram) with which these screenshots were taken. That's the PC Gamer I was referring to. I though that was obvious (it is), but then again this is N4G.

Lol, I don't think elhegbo16 (and a lot of people) is aware that the name of the website is PCgamer.com...

Beastforlifenoob4137d ago

No,
Not at all we saw next gen with Killzone shadowfall and battlefield 4 if were talking FPS.

Vegamyster4137d ago

"next gen" refers to consoles, Crysis 1 maxed out from 2007 looks better then most of these "next gen" games.

Yea,if they made the polygon count higher for the modles in crysis and enviorment it would look more next gen than allot of these games. To this day it is still looks amazing, props to crytek. It even looks better than crysis 2/3 in some parts. The enviroments are more lush in some parts,ai are smart, and the enviorments are bigger.Crysis 1 is amazing in my opinion and the gameplay was acully fun unlike the other ones....

"7680x1440"

I'm sorry can you repeat that.

So it looks like this guy and that other kid in South Korea have systems that can run this.

MicDude4137d ago (Edited 4137d ago )

Nah, the game isn't all that demanding. 7680x1440 means Triple monitors at 1440p. I'm sure you could achieve that with a couple of 780s. A single 770 should be more than enough for 1080p with a single monitor at ultra estimating between 50-60FPS maybe but idk for sure

deadfrag4137d ago (Edited 4137d ago )

My gtx580 play this at max settings 1080p@60fps so that you know!

DarkLord10034137d ago

Now that's the Titanfall Version I want to play :-)

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad1007d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g1007d ago (Edited 1007d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
