Dungeon Keeper iOS Review: Give Me Your Money | Gaming Blend

Is it possible to load up a game with nearly required microtransactions and still keep it fun? This question is worth exploring in a review about Dungeon Keeper's mobile remake. But first, let's talk about some of the premium add-ons that Gaming Blend is offering for this review.

Holy sh*t. This is the lowest scored game I have ever seen. Why the hell would they make an IOS Dungeon Keeper game ?. They should have made a PC game and reinvigorate the series instead of this heaping pile of anal excretion.

The score has more to do with microtransactions, how they effect the game's structure as well as what EA did in attempt to manipulate App store scores towards it.

Isn't it a free to play game though?. I thought they were supposed to have a fair amount of micro transactions though. I admit that I don't know that much about ftp though. I loved the Dungeon Keeper 2 a whole lot and this doesn't seem to take anything from that game.

People compare it directly with Clash of Clans, What EA didn't realize is that Clash of Clans is very popular because you can actually play the game and get very advanced without paying a single penny.

It could have been a good iOS game, they do exist.. The low scores are because it's terrible: its ftp mechanics are at best broken and worst evil (and broken)

Studios really need to work out what franchises work with what payment systems before green-lighting them, this one's ridiculous.

I am playing it refuse to spend any money, and its fine, its obviously designed to milk the consumer and probably shouldnt be called dungeon keeper esecially after playing the originals.

If they do have a real dungeon keeper in the works then it would be less offensive to core gamers.

But all in all as long as you know what your getting into its a fine game.

Thanks Wizard!. Yes Xenogears FTW indeed. I would love the missing final episode 6 to be made into a game. Too bad Square-Enix has the rights to Xenogears because I would really want Tetsuya Takahashi to work on it. It wouldn't be the same without him. Sorry to get off topic haha.

Hopefully this will lead to fair trade laws clamping down on companies that hide content considered detrimental to gameplay behind a paywall I would love to see EA eat crow for this.
