When a vocal group of fans were in an uproar about the ending of Mass Effect 3, BioWare claimed artistic integrity. The claim sounded valid at first glance. After all, they made the game. But do they have the right to claim this? Are there some criticisms that are valid?

Based on one narratively fitting ending in Mass Effect 3, Prothean squadmate Javik is highly unlikely to return in the next Mass Effect game.
