Wonder how the story is going to be implemented into the multi-player. The game looks like it plays great but when you watch the videos many of the kills are from the AI which don't seem very bright and competitive. It's in alpha stage so hopefully with tweaks they balance everything out. The multi-player needs to be competitive all around in order for it to be enjoyable. Let's see how much it changes as the release date gets closer.

yeah the "grunts" look pretty crappy, saw one of the vids that showed the fella getting like 5-6 kills on them and not even being shot... would love them to implement a Forza like "drivatar" (god i hate that word)that takes from the players around the globe and implements into into the grunts just to improve their overall skill

AI dont countdow for player kills, P-player kills, T-titan kills, G-grunt kills (bots)

Utalkin2me4176d ago (Edited 4176d ago )

Doesn't matter if it counts for kills or not. The AI plays a major part in the game obviously. And from what is shown from the game so far the AI looks underwhelming to say the least.

Eonjay4176d ago (Edited 4176d ago )

If you take a look at the leader board at the end of one of the videos, a player was able to outrank another by stacking grunt kills. Even though the guy had more human pilot kills, he didn't kill enough bots to score in the top 3. So, unless they change it, remember that the bots (which outnumber humans) should be your priority if you want a high rank/score.

@utalking2me ai doesnt play that huge of a part of domination i dont think ive seen them actually cap a point.

jgrigs094176d ago

Honestly when you play it, you kind of forget
About the AI's. You just play it and it doesn't cross your mind. With the AI's and their intelligents I think will be tweaked by launch. Obviously they just wanted to get this test out and get opinions. Im also glad I didn't have to deal with lag. I think this was the first game I didn't skip around a fucking map like a drunk bastard. My opinion I give it a 10/10. Not just because I have an Xbox it's just what I liked about it. Hope you guys enjoy it if you have an Xbox or PC

Titanfall was 8/10 review for the alpha

Omar914176d ago

This game really does look like COD meets Halo. That's not such a bad thing though. I was never into COD, But I can see myself getting into this game. It just looks so fast pace and frantic. It makes Killzone look like its running in slow motion. What I did notice was the textures were very flat and uninspired but it's in its Alpha stage so no doubt they will improve. The most important things seem to work such as balancing, and gameplay so color me excited for this one.

Shadonic4176d ago

More like COD meets lost planet bu instead of a grappeling hook you have a jet pack and can wall run like in the game Devils third. if you think about it, Only thing Halo is about it is the mechs and those were added just recently in Halo 4 as actule fighting mechs. and that it has guns, everything else is more

OpieWinston4176d ago

Wouldn't taht make it more like Crysis meets Warframe.

Crysis power jumps/lift up/armor abilities
Warframe wall running

Shadonic4176d ago

that's the thing Opie there's a bunch of different games that have pretty much the same elements that we see in titanfall. whats different is their visuals and how they work into the gameplay. In other words it can be viewed as a mix between bunch of different games.

jgrigs094176d ago (Edited 4176d ago )

Honestly when you play it you kind of forget about the AI's. I'm glad they stuck with low count players because having 12 vs 12 with all those
Mechs would get annoying. I think the AI's will improve at its launch. This alpha test was testing the servers I believe? Which worked wonders I didn't have a single lag. It's fun :). I hope you enjoy it!

Sorry I thought I deleted this because I posted on the wrong part of the thread

6VS6 is the best number.I have seen the footage and more than this would clatter the screen with mechs. If you can't realise this you are a blind ps troll.

Neoninja4176d ago (Edited 4176d ago )

Think it's unfair for you to say "blind ps troll". I think this might just be general ignorance with the mentality bigger is better. However there is definitely animosity from a few people because of the platform Titanfall is on. But like I said I think it's more ignorance than anything.
I for one like the 6v6 and think it'll be more fun and after seeing gameplay I'm happy they're sticking with it.

Agree. 12 mechs is enough, and any more and it will be a clusterfuck.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad1021d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g1021d ago (Edited 1021d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
