So they need the cloud's additional processing power just to make it 6 vs. 6 and run at 720p on a 10 year-old engine?

Hopefully this cloud AI will be what is needed to finally get a shooter the finally feels nextgen, so we don't end up with the X1 version of Kill Zone with dumb as rocks AI.

The AI will be the life blood of this game. That is why it is 6 vs 6.

Kz doesnt need AIs for multiplayer though.KZ has ACTUAL players playing the game

If you read the article he says all platforms will use the Cloud, which isn't what they implied when the game was revealed and first talked about.

They didn't imply it. They said it very directly. It was confirmed months ago that the PC and 360 versions were using it too...

This sounds really amazing .If respawn can use the cloud for stuff like this very early in the consoles life cycle, i wonder what other devs could do with it down the road.

I expect 1st and 2nd party devs i.e rare, 343i, blacktusk, turn 10, lionhead, insomniac , remedy etc and some talented third party devs to come up with some awesome stuff using the cloud. If respawn pulls this off more devs will definitly want to try it.

Destiny would be a game to be envied, if it was an exclusive.

This game looks interesting but I don't understand why everyone is supposedly so stoked about AI in their multiplayer. I mean really? Bots have only been good for one thing in multiplayer for as long as I can remember and thats filling the void of a player while waiting for more real players to join.

Unreal Tournament did this. It worked fine, for what it was intended.

In todays day and age of eSports, which this game is striving to reach into the MLG scene I don't understand how people can even remotely be excited about it. AI has no place in a competitive match. I'm actually fine with the 6 v 6 because that fits the competitive scene.

I think those people using LoL and Dota2 as arguments for AI in a competitive game are incorrect. Those games use AI as set pieces in a building up of the player to advance the overall game. I'm not sure that belongs in an FPS at all. I mean, I very well could be wrong, but to me it doesn't fit.

Besides that I hope the game is good, simply for the the players who spend the money on it. If you spend money on it then it should be good. Whats sad, is that here we are in 2014 with the newest generation of consoles and they are reportedly struggling to get 720p. I'm not arguing this as a fanboy I'm arguing this as a consumer who expects more out of consoles, especially the newest generation.
