Im kind of interested, but i dont know. Doesnt seem like this game has any big features that will lock it in as a "Must buy". Strikes me as a "Monster hunter" Esque game, which on vita is dominated by soul sacrifice, and likely the upcoming monster hunter.

Monster Hunter frontier G?

The game universally panned as the worst by monster hunter fans? Also the game that is online only, and is only coming out in japan? Lol.

This game looks good, and adding verticality to hunting games is a interesting addition. The thorn should make traversing the environment quicker. It also adds more strategy now that you can attack from on top of things.

Plus is has 8 players (8 Human players, not just robot partners) and PVP elements.

Looks like a lot of fun to me

ragnarok odyssey was good game. also phantasy star should be good.
I guess monster hunter missing itself out by not releasing it on Vita because vita is the handheld for those type of games.

I cant wait for this. I know the first footage they showed was pretty rough but the main developer (who worked on the GE series) was still finishing off GE2 so the interim dev (Dimps) were just laying the groundwork.

But I hope they advertise this well... maybe get a few cross overs for promotion to help if needs be.

Get this game dubbed or subbed and you have guaranteed a day one purchase here, the game just seems so much interesting.

I have a weakness against Japan studio games, never dislike any of them let alone this one, the day its comes to us the day I buy a vita xD

PS Vita Exclusives Freedom Wars, Soul Sacrifice to Have Servers Shuttered

Sammy: "Two high-profile PS Vita exclusives, Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice, will have their servers deactivated on 24th December, 2021. Both titles, published by Sony in response to its loss of Monster Hunter exclusivity, were built around co-operative play, and maintained relatively dedicated communities to this day."

Oreshika is also getting it servers shut down too. Big shame for these games. Honestly some of Vita's gems.

Snookies12972d ago

I'm surprised these were even still up! Loved the Vita though, had some great times with that handheld.

XxSPIDEYxX972d ago

These games deserve sequels or remakes. It was Soul Sacrifice that even got me into Monster Hunter.

Rangerman1208972d ago (Edited 972d ago )

Honestly surprised they never got ported to the ps4 or even PC. Since Sony won't give the vita another shot, wht not make a Vita collection? Could have Soul Sacrifice, Freedom Wars, KZ Mercs, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Murasaki Baby, etc. As a way to conmemorate the Vita.

CDbiggen971d ago

Freedom wars servers are still up? Holy shit.

jimbo6597971d ago

This why you never should have achievements/trophies locked to online only features.

Vita's 10 Best Online Games

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "Competing with other players online is ingrained into the gaming ecosystem these days, with every hardware manufacturer (even the previously resistant Nintendo) offering ways to connect to others over the internet to engage in multiplayer. Ever since SEGA blazed a trail with their gone-too-soon Dreamcast and titles such as Chu Chu Rocket and Phantasy Star Online, the console landscape changed towards embracing the internet – solidified further by Microsoft’s Xbox initiative in 2001.

On handhelds, inroads into online gaming were slower, but with the advent of Sony’s PSP in 2005 that changed again and suddenly portable experiences were offered that could also connect with other players across the world. This was refined further with their next-generation handheld the PlayStation Vita, which offered improvements like easily accessible friends lists, system-based party chat, alongside some of the best portable online games that were available at the time of its release."

Killzone Mercenary has spectacular gameplay and great mp. Underrated game.

Helldivers was pretty awesome to have on Vita.

NFS MW worked well on Vita.

NecrumOddBoy1916d ago

Killzone Mercenary is not only a phenomenal KZ, it has the best integrated system shared between the campaign and the online community. I wish more shooters were this incredible.

At Least Someone at PlayStation Still Remembers About Freedom Wars

Do you remember Freedom Wars? A collaboration between Sony Interactive Entertainment's own Japan Studio, God Eater's former team Shift and Dragon Ball Xenoverse developer Dimps, it was released as one of the PS Vita's highest-profile Japanese games in 2014.

Turns out that there is at least someone at Sony who still remembers.

Great game made by very talented teams. A sequel is probably hopeless though...

Godmars2901986d ago

Likely would have to be a port first.

I booted it again last week and I had forgotten how fun the game was. I wish they ported it to PS4 or something along with soul sacrifice

Kurisu1986d ago

I just checked my download list because I vaguely remember it being a PS+ title. I've got it "purchased", but I've yet to try it. Will have to download it and give it a go at some point.

SegaSaturn6691986d ago

I played this game for about 2 hours. Then it froze during a menu. Never touched it again.

DanielEndurance1986d ago

Giuseppe Nelva, why are you writing for Twinfinite? Dualshockers to that site is a major downgrade...
