Round two will be crazy with Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, Fable, Quantum Break, Halo 5, Project Spark and Black Tusk etc. Almost too many games in the first 2 years.

tokugawa3826d ago

ryse will be my first next gen game. i will also be picking up ki, dr3, bf4 and will get forza for free

JokesOnYou3826d ago

...and yet another great preview of Ryse, he said he was surprised because of all the negativity when he sat down and played it he had a lot of fun.

dedicatedtogamers3826d ago

Sessler has proved that he is super-credible over the last few months. These previews might as well be REVIEWS because he has not flip flopped one single time since the XBox One was announced...

fenome3826d ago

@dedicated

I know right? /s

FamilyGuy3825d ago

Can't trust Sessler anymore, he's been a huge Xbox apologist for every negative thing that's come out about the X1. He's constantly gushing over it like some fangirl that just saw Mario in a cat suit for the first time.

It's not so much that he "isn't credible", it's just obvious that his opinion is slanted.

only game interesting is quantum break.

Mr Pumblechook3826d ago

I'm so disappointed in Adam Sessler. I used to think of him as okay but have now seen that he allows his own console preference to affect his ability to accurately on the strengths and faults of each console. Instead he acts like the chief PR agent for Microsoft and never critiques them. A sad day for journalism.

CYCLEGAMER3826d ago (Edited 3826d ago )

What are you talking about dude?? It's a sad day in journalism because he didn't bash MS??? This video was about his experience with the games that HE HAS PLAYED. If he had a good experience than whats the problem?

Why don't you share with us your experience with the ps4 or xbox1 so far since you seem to have a better grasp on this??

SuicideKing3826d ago

I hope Microsoft keeps it up this gen with the good games. They really wavered the last couple years with the 360 in my opinion. Here's hoping

BABY-JEDI3826d ago

I totally agree. This gen MS have let down their core base of gamers. Hopefully next gen they won't start short changing their gaming base 4yrs down the line.

alexkoepp3826d ago

With all the new UI footage that's been released and Microsoft indeed living up to what they said the console was going to be able to do, people are going to be buying these things like crazy, I have no doubt friends seeing my One in action Nov 22nd is going to sell some consoles, true next Gen only 2 weeks and counting boys!

xHeavYx3826d ago (Edited 3826d ago )

You mean that footage that shows you have to repeat what you say to the Kinect?
http://n4g.com/news/1389758...

@Below
Just stating a fact that you would notice after watching the video, not my fault you are hurt

Loki863826d ago (Edited 3826d ago )

Keep trolling kid, yahoo is the only one reporting this , every other preview has been very favorable. IGN, PA, Verge, Gamespot, Joystiq.. I can keep going, but I think you have embarrassed yourself enough here. Also, Verge was on an older build confirmed by Verge in that article!

AngelicIceDiamond3826d ago

@Heavy Why do you gotta start stuff?

@Alex said nothing that was offensive. Unless his excitement offends you. And I'm sure that's exactly what it was.

ezop3826d ago

haha .. the funniest thing about that video is the fact the the guy who is suppose to be doing the review mumbles like mad, no wonder the kinect can not recognise what he's saying & he has to consistently repeat himself BUT when the other guy speaks clearly it works flawlessly.

rdgneoz33826d ago

@Loki If Yahoo is the only one reporting it, why is the verge as well? As for the others, many have come out in defense of a console that is less powerful and $100 more lately. And some have had their hands tied on questions about comparisons due to NDAs.

Hell, Sessler is a video from a while ago said next gen games should be 1080p and 60 fps. And he got lynched recently for doing a 180 (a trend these days) and saying the differences aren't really that big a deal.

"I was playing with a beta unit almost a month before launch." Remembered seeing an article a while ago... http://news.softpedia.com/n...

Those consoles were packed up and getting ready to be shipped... back in September. The verge build was almost a month before launch, which would put it back in October about. That was most likely the final unit / build that will only be getting tweaked later on via updates after launch.

Loki863826d ago

@rdgneoz3

read the article, they said themselves it is an older build of the GUI also this was the his first time using it and clearly he wasn't 100% what he was doing.

Ketzicorn3826d ago

Actually it comes out in a week but whatever floats your boat.

InTheLab3826d ago

Brought to you by the good(ish) folks at MS. He's actually toned down the hype this video, which is shocking but he's still lying about a few things.

1. He panned 6 axis motion but loves it in DR3
2. He's always bashed Kinect but now he's interested in it.

The guy has no credibility. Oh wait...maybe he changed his mind at another convenient time.

Rhaigun3826d ago

His opinions have flopped so much, I can't even take his game previews seriously.

JokesOnYou3826d ago

Yeah, right you disagree with his opinion, now he's flip flopping, how come when he was praising ps3 games and ps4 at E3 he was such a great voice of the industry. lmfao

Rhaigun3826d ago

He hasn't been a great voice in the industry in a while. Certainly not to me. If you would have looked at my comment history, you would see I stopped listening to him during the early days of the 360.

When he interviewed the Drs from Bioware upon their announcement of Mass Effect, he said they had made his favorite Xbox game, KoToR 2. His favorite game, and he had no idea who made it.

So, if you're going to reply to someone with a snide remark, it would help to at least peruse their past comments on a subject.

Hicken3826d ago

@Jokes: How come you can't just acknowledge it? The dude's unreliable. He's been unreliable since E3. It's not even about disagreeing with his opinion, but that he keeps changing it.

You're a dyed-in-the-wool MS fanboy, but you're consistent in that, at least. At the same time, though, you're on the front line of people who will take Microsoft's side in whatever, even through their flip-flopping.

Which, I guess, means it makes sense that you don't see any problems with Sessler's actions.

Bigpappy3826d ago

I see why some as so hard on this guy (who has been around forever I might add), he just says it as he sees it. They want some hate and he just isn't feeding none of that.

Rhaigun3826d ago

We don't want hate, we just want him to stop contradicting himself.

DoubleM703826d ago

Yup! Big Pappy he calls it the way he sees it now in the present.

There's fifteen ancient Rome games?

LG_Fox_Brazil374d ago

Shadow of Rome was so freaking good

Sashamaz374d ago

I'm still waiting for the sequel.

HyperMoused374d ago

Ryse was awesome, i have no idea why it wasnt recieved well and why we havnt seen another, Rome conquered so much, you could take the action anywhere, and it looked great when xbox one came out, now would be even better.

Ryse: Son of Rome Deserves a Second Shot

Ryse: Son of Rome was an Xbox One launch title that has been left to collect dust, but Crytek should set aside Crysis and give Ryse another shot.

It was a great game, it had issues but it can only go up from here.

crazyCoconuts629d ago

It was just ok. Looked really good for an Xbox game though

Snookies12629d ago

"for an Xbox game"

Way to subtly throw shade there. It looked amazing compared to any game at the time it was released.

Never played it myself though, wasn't really interested in it personally. Plus it came at a time when I didn't own an Xbox console. But it was at least different than the usual copy/paste games we get. So I hope it gets another chance sometime soon.

Crows90629d ago

It was a crytek game though

1nsomniac629d ago (Edited 629d ago )

It was a stunning game on all basis. One of the standout games for Xbox as a whole. I ended up buying on pc as well… and yes nothing looked better than it in PC at the time either. Nothing just ok about it, definitely needs a sequel.

fr0sty629d ago

@snookies12, don't pretend like the Xbox One didn't struggle with being gimpled by its tiny pool of ESRAM as a frame buffer. It was significantly weaker than the PS4.

crazyCoconuts629d ago

Metacritic 60, user score 6.4. I'm not alone in putting it into the "ok" category...

VenomCarnage89628d ago

@snookies
Haven't played it but at least you know enough to defend Xbox over it. The game did look good, for an Xbox game. That's not some "subtle shade," it's full on reality.
I remember it being nearly the only graphically decent game on the Xbone for like the first two years after launch, and graphics were that games strength

CrimsonWing69629d ago

I really enjoyed it. Bought it at launch even.

ManMarmalade629d ago (Edited 629d ago )

The qte's were disappointing though. God of war was doing it back in the ps2 days. As gorgeous as the game was, the gameplay needed to be updated.

annoyedgamer629d ago

I really liked the original Ryse but Crytek doesn't have the funds. The mismanaged their properties and let EA raid them with Crysis for the duration of their relationship. Right now they are working on Crysis 4, I doubt they can spare resources to work on a Ryse sequel.

gamer7804629d ago

It would have to be funded by MS, I really liked Ryse sure it got repetitive but the setting visuals and story were good

moriarty1889629d ago

MS should have funded a sequel to Ryse and Sunset OD. Two good franchises they definitely needed last gen.

annoyedgamer629d ago

MS is too busy trying to become the next EA, Ryse wont be on their list of titles to finance unless it gets a hipster makeover with lootboxes.

darthv72629d ago (Edited 629d ago )

I recently bought it for the steamdeck and have to say... 60fps is a game changer. I really wished MS had gotten a one x patch or series boost mode option but sadly, nope. Other games that definitely deserve a second chance (esp on steamdeck/pc) are quantum break and sunset overdrive. Both deserved 60fps support on one x / series but you have to go to PC for that.

Rumor has it Crytek had plans for a Ryse 2 but due to the low turnout for XB (at the time) it was shelved. They really should give this another shot. i dont care if its multiplat on PS and XB and PC and Switch... just so long as part 2 gets made.

babadivad629d ago

The game is automatically boosted on Series X

darthv72629d ago

sorry... but it's not. It still runs at the same fps the XBO did.

lelo2play629d ago

Game was good enough, not great.
Graphically it was top notch. Still holds well till this day.

Crows90629d ago

It only needed more enemy variety and few more movesets or weapons to use. That would have made the experience tons better.

MadLad629d ago

It was a good game.
Only time I saw quick time events actually make me feel engaged.

This is not what I would call value for money spent. They give you quests in liveservice games to get you "re-engaged" with the monetization schemes or to get you hooked or so you at least spend some extra on skins and loot boxes. Then they dole out paltry points after you have already paid extra for whichever liveservice within a liveservice that you are already paying for. My worry is people can't actually be that stupid to fall for this, can they?

littletad634d ago

Absolutely nothing in this comment makes sense. At all.

anast634d ago (Edited 634d ago )

How does it not make sense? O thy god of reason, shine some evidence upon us. Ryse of Rome, ESO,and AC: Origins are all live service games, between them you can get 275 points. Liveservice games are made to keep people spending. Therefore, Gamepass is a live service and the points are for playing live service games.

It is not my problem that this does not make sense to you, it is absolutely your problem. I mean it is all your problem.

Julion0715634d ago (Edited 634d ago )

Hate Xbox but comments in every Xbox article 😂 without making sense smh

anast634d ago

Bring the evidence and then your emoji might make sense.
