Ed Boon, co-creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise, tweeted out an image of the Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks strategy guide, following it up by saying, “Someone put this on my desk. WTF? Do they think we’re doing an HD version to download … um.. or something.” Very possibly teasing an upcoming announcement of an HD remaster of the title.

Looks like Mortal Kombat fans are thirsty for a Shaolin Monks remaster, as legendary Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has put up a poll in his official Twitter page asking kombatants what should be given a much needed HD remaster -- and all signs have pointed to the action adventure beat ’em up spin-off!
It needs a remake or sequel, I remember its dated game design, an overhaul is desperately needed.
I don't remember playing it thinking "oh look at that dated gameplay they're using". I remember playing it just having fun simply kicking ass against waves of enemies with my favourite MK characters. Loved it!

Yeah, I agree! IDK why say the team wants it and not do it! I assume Warner Bros won't let them, but dam, this was a favorite of mine back then. Too bad the sequel got canned.
With the way they're talking, they ought to or they're going to break people's hearts. LOL!
Woudn't mind. This was a fantastic game, the improved combat was on point. The changes were notable while still staying true to the franchise.

Oh shit!!! i loved the campaign brings back sweet PS2 memories....
Such an underrated game, was the best GOW clone of its time and that's saying a lot! If they do this and it sells well might convine gem to make a sequel the gameplay warrants one! The boss fights were epic and the nostalgia was crazy every time you saw a character appear. Sub-zero, scorpion, noob saibot were all in it.
When he says " umm ... Or something" it's obvious hes making it out to be that he didn't want to say that and give away the secret so I think that confirms it.
If that's the case I want an MK Armageddon remaster as well.
