The 2000s saw the release of some of the most influential titles in the history of the medium, and the tidal wave of games hitting the store shelves month after month meant that some truly spectacular titles were swept away in the hype, resigned to the bargain bins where they languished for years.

Licensing issues often leave many games forgotten. But all that aside, here are 10 classic games desperate for remasters.

Fun game but, wow, you need a college degree to understand the controls.
A remaster would also save you from having to constantly fight the camera.
Keep the music though. Those drum and bass tracks fit really well and haven't aged. Made me think that more games could work well with drum and bass tracks, but unfortunately it's a somewhat niche genre now.
Xenogears, Xenosaga trilogy, Vagrant Story, Drakengards, Parasite Eve and many more but I’ll start with those
Some games you just know are going to stand the test of time, being released and re-released multiple times over the years, or will simply have a legacy that’s built to endure. Meanwhile, there are other games that, for whatever reason, are simply never coming back.
Aye..this is why Emulation is important.
The Punisher was soo damn good. Nailed Garth Ennis take on the character very well. For me still one of the best comic book adaptions ever made.

That they couldn’t find a way to work out the legal stuff to bring it back is one of the greatest tragedies in gaming history.
Def Jam. Great and fun game they will never be re-released. There is just no way to secure all the copyrights for the tracks, voices and likenesses used in this game.
