I’m surprised they choose the apes instead of the frogs on metal gear solid 3 as they was harder to get

mgs3's gameplay aged the worse. Not being able to crouch walk after playing the games that came after is a killer. mgs2's gameplay aged better,but the aiming is tough . Peace walker is the better of the three remasters .
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree (and also inform you that you're crazy). Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (which MGS3 HD is based on) has aged way better than MGS2. MGS2 doesn't have a rotatable camera and comes with less gameplay options, less verticality and smaller environments. 3 is also just generally a better game. In Peace Walker, you can't move while lying down (no crawling). PW is a good handheld game but MGS2 and MGS3 come with better story, bosses, stealth, action, level variety, more memorable moments, etc.
The best moments in PW's story are the moments it recycles from MGS3. What does that say? Let's also not forget that PW is more repetitive, its enemies are bullet sponges and its lethal weapons don't feel particularly good as a result. The boss fights were also the worst in the series before 5.
You ever play this on the 360? They jacked up the controls so bad, you need 4 hands to enjoy it.
What are you talking about? The game plays fine. Or do you mean the offset thumbsticks ruins the experience for you because you are used to the DS controller?
@Darth no, when it came to 360 the controller lacked pressure sensitive buttons so you have to use your fingers in odd positions to do things that were easy on PS. I forgot buttons can be remapped! Thanks guys!!!
It's kind of disgraceful that you can play these MGS games on XB1 but not PS4. Jesus Christ, Sony. PS3 backwards compatibility better come with PS5. No excuses. At that stage, the power required to emulate the CELL will no longer be an excuse.
Modders have been trying to get PS3 games to play on PC for like 10 years now. Only recently have one or 2 been playable when using a high end PC.
Replies(1)I don't understand this mentality at all, other than the framerate being terrible in 720p on the OG Xbox(MGS2) it was fine.
Why can't you just realize this is just a cool thing? Wouldn't it be nice if the PS4 and Xbox got a remaster of MGS4? I bet it would look pretty good at 4k on a Pro or One X. Regardless of platform, more options to play and enjoy MGS is always a good thing.
Oh and even MGS1 was on the PC, so you know...get over it?
How would a XB version of mgs4 work, with all the PS, psp & apple references? Delete the Mantis flashbacks? Delete the audio podcasts? Sunny playing psp? The ps3 in her quarters?

Easily the best MGS game put out! It was SO ahead of it's time on the PS2. It had such detail as well. The Boss fights were all very well done!
I prefer MGS2 over any MGS. Though i loved MGS3, it didn't have the sci-fi real life related subject like MGS2 (Dat ending speach)
MG1 and 3 are my favourites, 2 had its moments, 4 was just fan service and was just flat out weird
