DHGF: Worms Revolution Extreme is the portable version of Worms I wanted when they released Worms Open Warfare on the PSP seven years ago. While there’s a bit of slowdown when changing between teams and your AI opponents can take far too long to really make up their minds before taking their turn, the game runs beautifully on the Vita. The options for the touchscreen are a bit limited, but the regular controls are just fine. All the DLC content from the original Worms Revolution is here and at half the price for the whole kit and caboodle, and being able to share between this and the PS3 version with game saves, they’ve got a nice thing going. This is the most fun I’ve had playing a Worms title since Worms Armageddon first came out, and for anyone who likes their turn-based strategy a little on the strange but funny side, unless you already own the original on another system, this is a definite must-have for your Playstation Vita.
Europe's getting a new PlayStation Vita Mega Pack on November 19. Called the "Heroes Mega Pack," players can pick up a console or memory card bundle complete with a voucher code for five games: Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, LocoRoco, Lemmings Touch, and Worms Revolution Extreme.
The Vita gets some love this month, with some interesting games cut some decent price cuts.
Team 17′s adorable worm soldiers have returned to the PS Vita to continue their unique brand of warfare. With an extensive single-player campaign that contains 47 missions and 25 puzzles to complete, Worms Revolution Extreme provides a robust gameplay experience that far exceeds its Playstation 3 predecessor.
The game starts with an eight level tutorial that introduces the player to the controls and intricacies of combat. Each tutorial is designed to play like a standard level, but with basic objectives to complete. The first couple of levels explain how to use weapons and hazards like explosive canisters to your advantage.
