With many current-generation games also being available on next-generation consoles, it's a bit of a wonder as to why Batman: Arkham Origins is not going to be released for the Xbox One and PS4. Warner Bros. just did clear this up with understandable reasoning.
Today, WB Games Montreal game director Michael McIntyre discussed why gamers will not be seeing Batman: Arkham Origins on the Xbox One and PS4.
Licensing issues often leave many games forgotten. But all that aside, here are 10 classic games desperate for remasters.
The getaway
Smugglers run
Dead to rights
Worlds scariest police chases
Sure I’m missing a few.
Ape Escape.
Fun game but, wow, you need a college degree to understand the controls.
A remaster would also save you from having to constantly fight the camera.
Keep the music though. Those drum and bass tracks fit really well and haven't aged. Made me think that more games could work well with drum and bass tracks, but unfortunately it's a somewhat niche genre now.
Xenogears, Xenosaga trilogy, Vagrant Story, Drakengards, Parasite Eve and many more but I’ll start with those
Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is almost here, but I can't revisit the best Arkhamverse game on PS5 without sacrificing quality.
Not a fan of Orgins. Blame it on the absence of Conroy & Hamill. Blame it on the lack of atmosphere compared to Asylm. Hell blame it the devs thst dicked over Wii U owners like me that purchased the game only for support be dropped as a thank you to me. It's better than Knight but that's not saying much. I don't care for that entry either.
Even though its not the best arkham game in the series, its still an enjoyable game in its own right. What it do really well at though, was the crime investigations scenes. Which imo, were the best of the franchise.
I don’t know about best game but it definitely has the best story and boss fights.
Never played it and recently I've finally tried it via cloud on psn. It's not the best for sure, but it ain't bad either.
Batman: Arkham Origins launched 10 years ago today, and sadly doesn't stand the test of time as well as its predecessors.
I fail to grasp why this title is worse compared to Arkham City (according to the article) as the author didn't provide any argument to explain why aside from that it felt the bigger map compared to Arkham Asylum made the experience less tight.
More importantly, the author seems like he never played Arkham City since he described the game as linear (alongside Asylum).
I get the want for next generation but we can still enjoy this gen as well. BATMAN, GTA V, Dark Souls II, Beyond Two Souls, Castlevania LoS 2... we still have great games to play.
I guess Wii U got lucky. Though not really. WB already has experience developing on the Wii U with Armored Edition.
All good, I'm really digging this game. I really hope this new team can keep the greatness that was the first two while adding something interesting and fresh.
For those of us who can afford gaming rigs we will have a pretty much next gen exp with arkham o on pc.
That excuse seems like a bail-out to me. What about the developers of Battlefield, Assassin's Creed, etc.? Did they make LESS of a product, because it's on current and next gen? If they truly believe they stayed focused on current gen to make the best game possible, they lack faith in their development team.
