Simon fron NAGF writes" This article is a farewell to the PS3. To celebrate the end of this generation and look back at what the Playstation 3 had to offer in it’s time as Sony’s primary console.
If the Xbox 360 were described as a pop concert, then the Playstation 3 would certainly be a symphony performance. Much more technologically complex, with an emphasis on art rather than spectacle, the PS3 is the thinking gamer’s console. Difficult development and complicated hardware made the PS3 tough to work with, but once game designers figured out how to unlock the system’s true potential, Sony’s console showed that it was the true beast of this generation."
Backward compatibility works for many games on newer consoles, but titles such as The Simpsons: Hit and Run have been left out.
From base building to swinging willies, here are the best survival games around, which include a couple of less than obvious picks.
It turns out that many moons ago, Microsoft once had its eye on the Sony published LittleBigPlanet series.
Microsoft in a nutshell. Always tried to poach Sony employees, games, 3rd party games and devices like the depth camera that was turned into Kinect but was running on PS2 before Xbox 360. Wouldn't be surprised they wanted LBP. Just like they worked behind the scenes pushing the MLB to bring Sony's baseball game to Xbox instead of making their own.

They didn't spend years trying to develop their own baseball game. They wanted Sony's game.
They're scum.
"However, Healey said Media Molecule wouldn't have felt right doing that, adding it would have been "morally corrupt"."
Major kudos to Media Molecule for being an upright studio with principles.
Great, more stories like this please. Show the last of the zombies holding the line what we've been saying for years: Microsoft is anti competition, anti industry and has no interest in making games at all.
But hey, at least there's an Xbox Games Showcase to look forward to, right?
Well considering SONY just killed the series, LBP would've been dead by now either way. Though MM probably wouldn't exist by now either, so I'm glad they stayed with SONY, hopefully they don't get shut down any time soon or ever honestly.
And more yet to come
Kinda weird to see this article when Sony is promising to continue to support the PS3 after the PS4 gets released but... okay.

Nostalgic? I haven't even played journey yet! ( just bought it on sale through ps plus) there are so many games yet to play and yet to come ( beyond: two souls).
The PS3 has some amazing exclusive games, every gamer should own a PS3. God of War III, The Last of Us, Uncharted 2, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid 4 and many more. Sony has never been as strong as they have been this generation in terms of 1st party exclusives, exciting that it'll only get even better from here onwards.
