They are either hated or loved by gamers. These phenomenons are often found scattered all over the gaming industry and have been known to truly set a game a part. Any gamer who has ever had a rage quit, thrown the controller at the television, or completely avoided a game as a result, knows that this is referring to the infamous “hard part.” That one instance in a game that is close to impossible and the only reason for its existences to frustrate the player. However, some games take this concept way to seriously, by forging levels and areas so hard that getting by one is like winning an Oscar. Some gamers fail to believe in these difficult and frustrating occurrences, so below are a few of the hardest levels in all of gaming that are hard wired to make you want to through your entire system into the street and run over it with a monster truck.
Xbox Game Studios' Halo: Combat Evolved Remake is reportedly planned to release in late 2026 to celebrate 25 years of Xbox.
They coulda started with Halo 3 remake ... I know Halo CE remaster was not proper with the art style but still, remaking after a remaster seems dull, when Halo 3 and Reach have started to show some age.
Discover 10 timeless video games from the past that remain absolutely playable today. From Chrono Trigger to DOOM, these classics have aged like fine wine!
Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.
Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.
Many games have come and gone as gaming began its illustrious history in this world. So let's talk about the top 100 video games of all time!
I know I have a report on this article, but considering I wrote it I don't think I need to make the changes that the report insists.
Have to say, Contra and the Water Temple almost made me cry haha
One of the most difficult/frustrating modern FPSers has to be Metro 2033 on hardest difficulty. Crossing the bridge in War (especially last push) and the escort mission is just annoying (first time through especially). Another good game though--just one that can be frustrating at times.
A good list though and not-so fond memories ;)
The end levels of Ninja Gaiden (NES). I'll never beat it.
Hmmm... Hasn't occured to me but I can probably find the ending on YouTube. I'm about to find some long lost childhood resolution, methinks.
Airwolf on the spectrum was the hardest game ever made closely followed by back to the future part 3 on the megadrive.
The people who made airwolf I think ran out of money and had to release the game (I think not 100% certain) so the so they just made an impassable wall you just crashed into.
And BTTF part 3 on the MD I used to challenge people to beat the first level when I worked in a games shop and not one person did it( other versions of the game I did first time.
