While the single player campaign of the Command & Conquer series is a favorite among many RTS gamers, the multiplayer modes of the franchise have provided hours of entertainment beyond the traditional campaign. On March 24, Electronic Arts returns with Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, in which gamers will be able to storm the online battlefield with no less than nine factions, each with unique units and abilities tailored for play style of choice. In the latest in IGN's series of designer diaries, Lead Producer Jim Vessella provides some inside information on what distinguishes the multiplayer component of one of this year's most anticipated RTS titles.
