"I think it’s inevitable but Uncharted had a lot of focus on jump and run passages whereas we have real puzzles. By having a first person view we can also have a deeper shooting experience where the action gets transported in a better way,” he said."

Oh yeah because only FPS games can have good solid action experiences /s

Sorry but I felt more of a hero while playing Uncharted, a third person game then when I play a FPS. At least I can "bound" with the character more and enjoy the character the developer has created instead of hiding his face and giving me the "You'll feel like the main character" excuse.

1st person view is a good way to mimic reality, but I've always preferred 3rd person perspective for most games. Mainly because I feel it gives me more control.

Even the font resembles the one of Uncharted. Still looks interesting. Willing to give it a try if it makes it's way to the ps3.

When the game was first announced, they welcomed the comparisons and said nothing. It was free publicity for them.
Now that that died down, they bring up to not compare them, getting more publicity again.
At the end of the day, it is obvious that they are looking for a style reminiscent of Uncharted. Done differently, obviously, being it a first-person game, but still.
At the end of the day, this game comes off as a game that is simply building off of the success of other games, but shows promise in itself.
While I am a bit worried with it being published by Nordic, I still very much interested in the title and will be watching it up to and after release.

Well I can see why people compare it to Uncharted the font just screams Uncharted, but at least it's not as bad as that Unearthed game. I'm interested in this game looking forward to see more of it.

Uncharted Cast Doesn’t Take the Games’ Success For Granted at MCM Comic-Con

Deadfall Adventures - Not as Dreadful as You've Heard

Deadfall Adventures was released way back in 2013. The game has a poor reputation, but looking back it certainly didn't deserve it.

WiiU-Dude1047d ago

I enjoyed it a great deal. Good fun.

MadLad1046d ago

I really liked it.
I even own the collector's edition, though I got it for dirt cheap off Amazon years ago.

Really is a solid game though.

Analyzing 'Uncharted: Drake’s Deception' – Wait, What is The Game About?

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has a lot to live up to as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is an incredible and near-perfect game.

I cant even say what the point was its easily the worst story in the series. The online was a whole lot of fun though but overall doesn't come even close to 2

porkChop1322d ago (Edited 1322d ago )

It was a step back for sure. Personally, I thought even the MP was way better in U2. Solid game, glad I played it. I just think they didn't push as hard as they did with U2.

UNCHARTED2FANATIC1317d ago

Yes both the online and story was better in 2 no doubt

Flewid6381321d ago

The "young Drake" portion was pretty top notch, story-wise. But yeah, everything outside of that I felt was inferior.

DanielEndurance1322d ago

Villains were all over the place in this… one second they wanted Drake dead, the next they needed him, then they want him dead again, then they coulda killed him, but poisoned his friend instead, then coulda shot him again, but had brunch with him, then needed him alive, then coulda mowed him down, but decided to kill him by fire and let him escape… Uncharted 2 was way better. 😅😅

slowgamer1322d ago

=D Sounds crazy. I don't remember any of that. Played it on ps3 and I remember thinking that why was this game so bashed compared to second one. I liked it.

Chocoburger1321d ago (Edited 1321d ago )

Another thing that annoyed me about UC3 events was the agent Talbot teleporting around Turkey. It just felt off to me, and made no sense.

Also, for about one third of the game, you go on a wild goose chase to rescue Sully, who wasn't even there to be rescued, and you end up back where you started again. There was simply no pay off for all the events you go through, so it fell flat in that regard as if they couldn't figure out how to make the game longer, so they decided to side-track you to do something with no pay off, hoping you wouldn't notice due to all the incredible action set pieces they made.

Overall though, even with its flaws, I still enjoy the game.

TheEnigma3131321d ago

This was actually my least favorite in the series. Didn't have that same impact that part 2 set.

Flewid6381321d ago

Uncharted 2 is the pinnacle of the series (to me).

Granted, 4 had the best story in my opinion, but 2 was the overall best game.
