Kevin of Xboxer360 writes, "The year is 1912 and New Yorker and former army man Booker DeWitt has amassed a debt that he can’t repay. However, if he can travel to the city above the clouds known as Columbia and bring back a young woman named Elizabeth, who has some strange abilities, the debt will be cleared. Though as you can probably guess, it isn’t going to be that easy, not by a long shot.
To say the story is muddled would be selling it short, it’s all over the freaking place! There seems to be a multitude of ideas swimming about here vying for defiance. Entire plots rise, take over, then are disregarded, barely to be mentioned again. The most interesting story is the main one; Booker and Elizabeth trying to escape the bizarre city while discovering twists along the way, but for almost half of the game you’re forced along on fetch quests and asked to backtrack constantly across the same areas numerous times."

Twinfinite: “War may never change, but the prices of rare games do!”
"And lastly, famous Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling helped to create the action-RPG’s setting. What’s really fascinating, though, is that the game was partially financed by taxpayers from Rhode Island (which allegedly lost the state millions of dollars). Yikes!"
1. Now infamous Schilling
2. No allegedly, it did. And they couldn't pay it back.
3. What really lost the money wasn't the SP release but the MMO they were working on. This was supposed to be an introduction into the MMO world.
I hate counting limited editions for these lists. I mean, they're made to be rare and expensive. It's far more interesting to hear about the NCAAs (even if most people know that one already) and the El Chavos than some massive hit that came with a $200 statue at retail.
Most Xbox games don’t hold as much value compared to other systems. Kameo, Blue Dragon, Last Remnant , and a handful or 2 of other games that I kept.
One of the biggest TV and movie tropes in the last decade has been the multiverse, the idea of exploring multiple dimensions to uncover alternate versions of existing ideas. From both a business and creative perspective, it makes sense why established franchises are shaking things up in this way.
However, there aren't many video games latching on to this trend, as rendering multiple worlds in real-time is a difficult feat and the medium is relatively young in comparison to its contemporaries, making crossover opportunities more difficult. Still, there are a few great titles that manage enough to overcome these challenges, and here are some of the best examples.
While I love someone mentioning Planescape, not really multiverse. Planes and dimensions, yes. But, they are typically their own locations and are very rarely tied to another 'verse' let alone another plane. The only things that are directly tied are the ethereal and material planes. Otherwise, they are dimensions created of their own design and goals by the creator/owner and not comprised of 'their own version of another dimension'.
wow, we must play different games then. This game is so awesome, and might be the best fps adventure I've played in recent years. The story telling is unmatched and elizabeth is the most well crafted side character/ally ever in a videogame.(although im sure that Naughty Dog might top Irrational games with Ellie from The Last of Us)
This game is a freaking masterpiece and has exceeded my expectations. The themes and the story are so well thought, with a unique twist and a hell of a ending. With the crazy weapons and abilities Booker Dewitt has, the gameplay and gunplay is easily the best in a FPS. Not to mention that the tense, artstyle and the atmosphere is really breathtaking(Who ever invented Skyline Travel and fighting maneuvers is a F*cking genius)
Xboxer 360...
Wow... If I were a 360 gamer, I think I'd grasp on to whatever I can get... This dude just took 360 GoTY and gave it a 77...
The thing about Infinite is it brings back classic gameplay while still innovating, sure you may not like the backtracking or the lack of hand holding, but this game was not made for casual players like yourself. This game was a masterpiece from start to finish, it clued you in to certain events subtly while providing additional details in the hidden collectibles. It pushed you to go out of your way if you wanted to discover all the pieces of the puzzle. The gameplay had you make choices constantly and hard or 1999 mode flying around the battlefield picking up any weapon you could get your hands on. A game that makes you think yet challenges your every decision, that is what makes this a perfect game.
And yet the same site gave the drivel that is Black Ops II 85%, because that story was just so deep and meaningful - this folks is what we call zero credibility, and the reason the gaming industry churns out rubbish on a regular basis. Bioshock infinite may have its issues but its one of the most original, enjoyable games I have played in a loooooong time.
