Comparing BioShock to BioShock Infinite

IGN - BioShock Infinite is only one week away. After its reveal in 2010 and multiple delays, Irrational’s newest shooter is finally about to be in your hands.

During a recent visit to Irrational in Boston, IGN had a chance to sit down with Irrational’s co-founder and creative director Ken Levine, lead writer Drew Holmes and animation director Shawn Robertson about the role of Elizabeth, how Infinite has evolved and comparisons to Irrational’s original entry in the franchise back in 2007.

The first Bioshock (not bioshock 2) is easily one of my favorite games this gen. Can't wait for Infinite.

joab7774463d ago

I must say that i loved bioshock 2 also. They just about made everything better. And a return to rapture is so worth it. I will say that i wish they had left the big sister as a single end boss that u fight multiple timez but...

Anyway, this weeks wait is gonna b hard. Beat both ni no kuni and tomb raider so now i just wait and wait for Infinite and Game of Thrones.

This game is shaping up to be amazing.

It's 10 years too late for a BioShock film. The world of Rapture would have been perfect for a film. It's actually a good candidate for proper utilization of 3D, for increased depth rather than bullshit popping out of the screen. It could really show off the underwater city that way. But BioShock as a brand is so irrelevant these days that a film just doesn't make sense. Especially considering it would need a big budget and top notch effects to really take advantage of the IP.

gold_drake317d ago

i agree on the bigger budget. all the cgi they'd need for the background.

but i think it would work better as a show. a movie would be too short to establish the story

Netflix greenlights anything, so that shows me very little faith in the project. Enough to just crap something out as they're, more and more, known to do.

its where b movies go to live, its run by democrats , dont expect anything good from netflix

Knightofelemia317d ago (Edited 317d ago )

I'll laugh if it turns out to be better then the Borderlands movie
