Yeah, also can't wait for the next true Zelda title on the Wii U

Bimkoblerutso4108d ago (Edited 4108d ago )

Me neither.

Also kind of hoping the midi soundtrack gets an orchestrated upgrade as well?

TruthbeTold4108d ago

Some tracks for sure. But I'd like for many of them to remain as they were. They'd have to see what the feel for each piece is as relates to the new graphics I guess.

I got so far in wind waker and never finished the game, this is definitely a Day 1 buy for me

DarkBlood4108d ago

yeah i cant really remeber if i beat it my self or not so this is a day one buy for me as well

i will still get the gamecube version for collection purposes though lol

TruthbeTold4108d ago (Edited 4108d ago )

Definitely the most satisfying Ganondorf kill in the series. You owe it to yourself to finish it.

"The wind... it is blowing"

Eamon4107d ago

I liked Ganondorf in WW. He was very different to past Ganondorfs in past Zelda games. In this one, he was more of a tragic villain.

Bronxs154108d ago

exact same situation here. got stuck at one part late in the game and never returned to finish it out. i still have that actual gamecube disc and controller that i can plug into my actual wii....but i have no gamecube memory card.

i hope it's priced at a lower amount.

wiiulee4108d ago

the game is still more then a few months away...so im sure it will look alot better then in this video

YoungPlex4108d ago

I was one of those people that dreaded WW when I first saw it! I was so disappointed with the fact that Nintendo showed us a child cartoon version of Link, instead of showing us the mature Link who fought Ganondorf in the E3 tech demo. I eventually got over this and picked up a Gamecube because of the RE remake, which is STILL a wonderful masterpiece, and also picked up WW way down the line. After completing the game I felt that it was one of the greatest Zelda games ever created and simply adored the artistic design. I'm excited that they remade this and am hoping that fans that didn't get over what I did, get a chance to pick it up and see what a great Zelda game this was. I'm actually going to buy a Wii U for my older brother for his birthday in August because he finally got over it as well but is still reluctant in picking up a Wii U. So I guess I'll get it for him seeing as he was the one that purchased a N64 for me when I was a kid. I guess it's only the brotherly thing to do right...

give him a ps4 this holiday instead.. He will enjoy it much more & get much more from it

1upgamer994107d ago (Edited 4107d ago )

It is not even certain PS4 will be out this Holiday. It could be early 2014. Why wait a year to play next gen. Also by 2014 Nintendo will have some great titles out and Sony will just be starting their library on PS4. Nintendo Direct was great yesterday.

Ezz20134107d ago (Edited 4107d ago )

@divineassault

we have no idea when the ps4/720 will launch we don't even know if they will show them this year
for me i'm ok with this ps3 gfx and the games are beyond amazing
and can go on as long as long sony wants

as for your comment
why you tell him to wait untill ps4 ?!
why don't he buy wii-u and enjoy it ?!..
it's nintendo first time to join HD consoles

i'm going to be one of WiiU owners soon too
so i get to enjoy every thing on ps3/pc/wiiu/360

TruthbeTold4108d ago

The facial expressions. The way the eyes would move around and look in the direction of something that you should check out. So many things about that art style and its application were gold. That being said, I'm glad that this is a remake, and that the next game will likely be in a more 'fantasy realism' style.

kmac22334107d ago

I was the same way, but I did pick it up first week. The art style really worried me, but definitely one of my favorite zeldas

miyamoto4108d ago

How about a Dolphin Emulator comparison...

miyamoto4108d ago

Thanks!

The Zelda HD really can't come soon enough

if Nintendo can port Wind Waker to Wii U surely
they can port Twilight Princess

and if they can port RE: Revelations to Wii U they can port HD remaster of Ocarina of Time 3DS

while we wait for the main event

ElectricKaibutsu4108d ago

No problem :)

I wouldn't mind a remastered Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword (no rush on SS), but OOT would need a serious overhaul. Plus we just got it on the 3DS. I'd rather Nintendo put their remaking efforts into a 3DS Majora's Mask.

I'd put Street Fighter 2 over 3. 2 and all its different versions dominated the arcade scene back in the day in a way that 3 never did.

Abear21172d ago

Agreed, Same with Metal Gear Solid imo. Came for Bioshock and was not disappointed. Would easily put Burger Time or Space Taxi over tempest. Also, OG Sim City and Oregon Trail. Mario 64 as well. Just too many!

Abear21172d ago

Never played it I gotta get on this one

Double_O_Revan171d ago

Me too. I didn't have a GC until way later and never played it. I've been waiting on Nintendo to release the HD edition on the Switch for forever, but they just won't!

FinalFantasyFanatic171d ago

I never bought a Gamecube, I've always had an urge to play this game, maybe it'll get a remaster in the future.

LoveSpuds171d ago

I played it on WiiU for the first time and it remains my fave Zelda game to date. So much character and a real sense of exploration without the open world bloat.

Petebloodyonion171d ago

Ms Pacman?
Robotron?
SSF2 Turbo over 3 simply by the 10000000000's ports of the game we're still having
Castlevania SOTN?
Zelda Link to the Past over Wind Waker
Super Mario Bros 3?
Chrono Trigger?
Resident evil4?
COD MW2 (the original)?
Uncharted 2
Metal Gear Solid?

Here's my reasoning for all of them versus the list proposed in the article.
They are still quite enjoyable from start to finish on their original platform, unlike some Wind Waker or Okami that are fun when you play the remastered version (unless you call: forced to watch a 20-minute cutscene or have to blow for wind chance constantly fun).
Some of them are the pinnacle of what the console could do (MGS, Chrono, MGS)
Lots of them are still considered the go-to-go game for their genre.

Shane Kim171d ago

Said it before but Heart of Darkness is truly a timeless gem.
