Otaku USA: "Sega recently announced that the release of Anarchy Reigns—a multiplayer-centric brawler developed by the fine folks at Platinum Games (MadWorld, Bayonetta)—will be delayed in North America until the first quarter of 2013. That puts it way off the previously listed worldwide release of July 2012, which it's still scheduled to hit in Japan. It puts it even further away from previous release dates, and that's too bad, because the demo is available now in Japan and it looks like Platinum could have another over-the-top winner on their hands."
A recent wave of modern brawlers have exploded onto the scene, and it feels like they owe Anarchy Reigns some gratitude.
Jerry from BagoGames says, "With Astral Chain coming out right around the corner for the Nintendo Switch, I couldn’t help but think about all the amazing games PlatinumGames has pumped out over the years. Some revered greatly, others panned by critics, but to me insane infatuation. These are my five favorite games from my favorite developer"
After Xbox's announcement that there won't be any more backwards compatible games until the release of Project Scarlett, here's a reflection of what could, or perhaps should have been.
Not only would it have been great if Max Payne, Freedom Fighters, Nier, Blur and Lollipop Chainsaw got to become backwards compatible, it also would be great if those games got to have more games come out in their franchises.
Its not as backwards compatibity is dead its just been put on hold so all backwards compatibity game work on next xbox then when its released they will start up again, P.S I did finish Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Burning Earth
Might get the chance when Scarlett comes out. I mean for all games Xbox 360 and Original Xbox. I can dream it happening.
It's a real shame it got delayed. It seemed to be the only interesting game to forward to this summer. And I just beaten MadWorld. Nice game.
