Gameolosophy.com: Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC Review

Gameolosophy.com: When Bioware announced that they would be releasing DLC to appease fans left shattered by the lofty expectations the series builds up for them, I was ecstatic. Surely after the enormous backlash from fans Bioware had learned their lesson and actually delivered content that reflected their wishes. They were finally going to deliver a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy that reflected your choices in the series. Turns out hope is a double edged sword.

"Bottom line it’s better to leave this extended DLC undownloaded and stick to youtube if you really want to see the new endings."

Um... why wouldn't I just download it and be done with it? It's free.

Because then you'd have to go through the trouble of actually playing through the ending levels three times to see each ending and it's just not worth it.

I didn't care much to see every ending. Just the one I wanted.

Quick question though; everyone tells me there were originally three choices but I was only given two by the end of the game. What are the requirements for the third?

If I recall readiness along with war assets need to be high. I think quite a bit past the threshold for war assets not sure how much readiness I think I had 100% by the time I went through.

That would explain it. :/ I heard the only way to boost it was to get some lame app for the iOS/Android.

Thought you had to play multiplayer to boost the SP score. So you have to get some iPhone app as well?

Christopher4695d ago

Either or, Godmars290. You can play just multiplayer or you can use the iPhone app. Honestly, do the multiplayer. I did the iPhone app and it takes forever to raise it that way.

There's actually four choices in the extended one.

You can go left, right or centre but your galactic readiness needs to be at a certain percentage to unlock that ending. I think its around 70-80%.

The fourth ending is unlocked when you refuse to make any choice at all.

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast147d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman147d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast147d ago

He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.
