In Zenless Zone Zero, you have the option to type in your birthday in your Namecard. You’d think that this is pretty meaningless, and probably used by Mihoyo to have a statistic of the average age of their player base. But, if you did type in your birthday and it’s coming up, you’re in for a pleasant surprise.
An In-Game Happy Birthday and a Cake From the Team
Birthdays are always a cause for celebration and a time to open presents and eat some cake. The Mihoyo team agrees with that and the fans reported that if your birthday comes up in ZZZ, you will get a special mail that says:
Birthday Wishes: For Our Dearest Proxy
Dear Proxy,
Thank you for your support of Inter-Knot. We would like to offer you our most sincere blessings. Your identity may be anonymous, but your emotions are real, so we hope that your days in New Eridu bring you joy and happiness. Happy Birthday.
And attached to it is a special Cake, called “Special Custom Ordered Cake”. The official description is “Cute little cakes handcrafted by the finest Dessert-class intelligent constructs.” When you “consume” it, you will get one Ether Battery and one Special Custom Ordered Cake Souvenir. As one fan said: “Basically this exact same thing transforms to a souvenir key item that you can just look at. Kinda like a collectible. While it’s not the most incredible thing out there, it is nice that it’s something”
It is always nice when you get something in the game just for you. Of course, we are aware that this is automated and everyone will get the same Cake, but still, it is a neat gesture by the team. So if you haven’t already, go and type in your birthday date into your Namecard, and when the time comes, enjoy some virtual cake.
