Kuro has made a lot of different challenges and giveaways for Wuthering Waves in the last couple of months. We had in-game events (with a free five-star Resonator as a reward in one of them) as well as various out-of-game events, that challenged your drawing skills, video editing skills, and more. Well, the most recent event has caught everyone by surprise. It is time to test our vocal skills.
“An Unfinished Song Cover” Event for Wuthering Waves Is Live
On October 6, Kuro released a beautiful music video for a song called “An Unfinished Song”. On that same day, they announced a new event related to the song. In the “An Unfinished Song Cover” event, players are tasked with completing the song (the second half is intentionally left without lyrics) and singing it themselves.
The event started on Sunday, October 6, and will last until Sunday, October 27. During that period the fans are tasked with writing their own lyrics for the second half of the song and singing it themselves (in any language they like). Kuro even supplied the instrumental (ie, without vocals) version of the song. As per the official post, to participate you have to “record your cover singing of the newest 1.3 EP, then post it with the hashtags #AnUnfinishedSongCover and #WutheringWaves before October 27th, and your participation will have been deemed successful.” The social media platforms where you should post are X (Twitter), YouTube, Facebook and TikTok.
The rewards are pretty awesome. There are two different types:
- Outstanding Award – five $300 gift cards, awarded to the best performances.
- Participation Award – 50 random participants will be awarded with an “An Unfinished Song” Merchandise Bundle.
The fans are a little intimidated by the challenge, with some turning to humor, saying “I am deeply sorry for what I am about to submit” or “Whoever gonna listen to my submission, I’m sorry in advance.” Still, Kuro continues to amaze with the sheer creativity of their challenges.
